Unstuffed Cabbage

Not bad, but I'd cut the cabbage down by half if I were to make it again. Also, I par-boiled it first after reading other reviewer's long cooking time.

Delicious cake. I followed other reviewer's advice and cut the oil back to 3/4 cup. Also used 1/2 cup less chocolate chips. Came out great. I made 2 round cakes and frosted it for a birthday cake, rather than bundt.

Cheesy Italian Pull Apart Bread

This was really good! I don't like the taste of refrigerated biscuit rolls so I substituted a simple recipe for Italian bread dough, and followed the rest of the recipe exactly. Excellent recipe!

Fire-Roasted Tomato and Spinach Pasta

I made this as described and found it very bland. I should have followed the suggestions to add more garlic and other seasonings, but I like to try it as written the first time. Definately needs something to wake it up - has promise.

Chicken Fried Chicken

Excellent! Followed the recipe exact except I used my usual method of dipping in flour first, then egg, then the coating. Wonderful, crispy chicken - made a great sandwich with the extras! Thanks for sharing.

Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes

This was good, but I thought it needed a dash of some kind of seasoning. I followed the recipe as it was written, if I try again I'll add a dash of something like cayenne or mustard powder. Just needed something to jazz it up.

Chocolate Candy Bar Cake

This cake was good but I didn't like the frosting. The taste of the cream cheese was totally lost and it just had a sugary taste. It's worth working with, perhaps cutting back on the sugar (maybe omitting the white sugar, as there's plenty of confectionary), or adding a teaspoon of vanilla to give it a 'real' taste instead of just sugar.

Roast Beef Sandwich Roll

Great recipe! Will make this again. You can make this even easier by using a jar of Italian pepper salad - then you don't have to cook the peppers & onions. That's what I used. Thanks for sharing.

Tomato Bisque III

This was very good. I didn't like the idea of the cream so I omitted it and it turned out to be a nice, rich tomato soup. I also omitted the flour, as it thickens up beautifully with the tomato paste and other ingredients. Very tasty.

Vegetarian Cottage Cheese Patties

This patty is good. I agree with some other reviewers that next time I'd use only half the envelope of dry onion soup. Also, I followed someone's advice and didn't fry them - I formed the patty, dredged it in bread crumbs, then baked on a greased cookie sheet for about 20 minutes. I warmed the soup on the stove and spooned it over the patty on each plate. Also, I'd like to try a different sauce instead of the cream of mushroom soup -- between the dry onion soup mix, and the cream of onion soup, it had too much of a 'canned soup' feel. But overall, the patty itself is good and can be adjusted to suit different tastes.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

I agree with the others that this is very good. But I would like to add that unless you're a potato fan, you might cut down the amount of potatoes by a half cup or so, and toss in one of the other recommended veggies for variety. Otherwise, I wouldn't change anything!

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Really good - perfect football game snack! I followed tips of the other reviewers and 1) used bleu cheese dressing instead of ranch, and 2) layered the dip rather than mix it all together. The layered dip looked very attractive in a glass dish, and didn't turn as 'orange' as the other reviewer commented. A great recipe!

Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal Bread

This was good. I skipped the applesauce and diced two Macintosh apples instead. Next time I'll follow other reviewer's suggestions and use only 1/2 packet of the oatmeal on the top.

Country Apple Dumplings

I'll agree that these were very tasty, but I'm wondering how other people fit 16 of these in one 9X13 pan? I ended up splitting them over two pans. Came out good, even better with a spoonful of vanilla ice cream.

Tasty Tuna Burgers

These were very tasty, but mine were too soggy and fell apart. Next time I think I'd decrease the Mayo and increase the bread crumbs to 3/4 cup. Also, I added a grated carrot for some extra veggies. Good enough to try again, hopefully they'll come out a bit firmer next time.

I was looking forward to making these, based on the reviews, but for some reason mine came out gummy. They weren't light or fluffy as I expected. I didn't alter the ingredients because the reviews sounded so good. I wouldn't make them again.

Meatiest Vegetarian Chili from your Slow Cooker

I followed the recipe fairly accurately, but for some reason, the tofu didn't blend in well. It looked very unappealing - little white blobs floating in it. The chili smelled great, and probably would have been very good, but we couldn't get past the weird look of it. Maybe I did something wrong? But I was disappointed as this got so many great reviews.
