Madly in love with my husband and teenage children. I started cooking and baking in highschool took a break from "really" cooking/baking after my second child because I went to work full time. I am finally trying to get back into the groove, I forgot how rewarding it is, how happy and thankful people get when they eat a really good dish... this site is sooo helpful! I think its almost time for me to start posting some of my own stuff, we will see!
My favorite things to cook
I like trying new vegetarian recipes that both my meat lovin' hubbie and my picky vegetarian daughters love! I like coming up with easy meals with what I have on hand, and I love love love dessert, we would eat it with every meal if I could find a way to make sugar good for you!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Making holiday cookies, and cakes.
My cooking triumphs
Every time my family makes special requests, asks for subsequent helpings or when my dish/desserts are the first to get eaten at gatherings and potlucks.
My cooking tragedies
I guess if your kids did not like meatloaf when they were meat eaters they probably wont like it vegetarian style..my kids always seem to remember the "icky" meals. I have a hard time using gelatin, and yeast in recipes, but I am getting better!
