About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
My favorite things to cook are pretty much anything. I love trying new things and I love to see the looks on my families faces when it is something they like. I have mastered a lot of great wild game recipes and I know that my family loves them. But all in all, I enjoy cook anything and everything.
My cooking triumphs
I have learned in the past year how to master a cheesecake and I could not be happier with myself. I have been taking ideas from all over the internet and found the best ones on this website, THANK YOU EVERYONE!
My cooking tragedies
My worst dish ever would have to be my attempt at cheesy broccoli soup using "cheese food" as one of the main ingredients. I have since not used it and it is for the better I am sure. It had the look and feel of vomit and I can only hope that it didn't taste that way, I was too scared to see.

Butter Flaky Pie Crust
I made this crust to use for a quiche that I made for a brunch. It was a huge hit. I made enough to fill a 9x11 pan and it turned out wonderful! I will use this crust again to make a sweeter dish next time, to compare the best way to use it. Thank you for the recipe!

California Melt
This sandwich was great! I changed a few things but it was amazing. My husband who doesn't like sandwiches asked if we could make these a weekly dinner menu item. My changes were, I added a thin cut chicken breast and a sauteed the mushrooms a little to make them tender. There are a lot of things you can add to this recipe but it was amazing and we didn't feel gross from all the fat it was perfect for a warm day when nothing heavy sounds good. I cannot praise this recipe enough, THANK YOU!

Roasted Asparagus and Mushrooms
Great recipe for a healthy additive to a busy work week dinner. I have made this over and over and every time I get rave reviews by my family. I will substitute different seasonings for the rosemary if I don't think it will go with what I am fixing. This is a tender recipe and it goes well with almost any meal you serve up and one last thing, I have substituted brussels sprouts for asparagus too, not too bad, we are big sprout eaters so it was worth a shot and it paid off.
