Swiss Cheese 'n' Onion Quiche

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2009
This was pretty good. The onion is almost too much, but other than that it was great!

Colleen's Slow Cooker Jambalaya

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2009
My family loved this! I accidently got boudain sausage, and I didn't use chicken either. I also omitted the thyme because I don't care much for it. I will definitely make this again, and I will try it with the right sausage and chicken!

Cool Whip Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2009
I thought these were great! My husband loved them. My only problem was, it took longer for them to bake than the recipe says.

Mom's Mexican Cornbread

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2009
My family loved this! I did add some things to it. I used 1/2 cup of milk, and 1/2 cup of sour cream. I also used more cheese than the recipe said. Great recipe! Thanks!

Jagerschnitzel

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2009
My husband loved this! I am not normally a pork fan, and I am always looking for a way to dress it up. The only change I made was I used fresh mushrooms and those thin, breakfast sliced pork chops, because that is what I had on hand. I will definitely make this again!

Slow Cooker Clam Chowder

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2009
I have used this recipe several times, but with a few changes. I use 2 cans of clams, and I put at least 2 cups of liquid into the pot. I also add some garlic, and I don't add the milk until I add the clams close to the end. With those changes, this is my family's favorite clam chowder recipe, and something I will be cooking for years to come!

Stuffed Cabbage Rolls

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2009
These were pretty darn good, but I did do a little tweaking. I usually try not to do that when I try other people's recipes, but I just couldn't do without garlic. So, I added a clove of garlic. I also mixed my remaining tomato soup with about a 1/4 c. of beef broth before I poured it over the rolls. I added a little cornstarch to the sauce in the end, because it was a little too thin (which was my fault for adding the beef broth). Had I not done all of these things, I am positive it would've been just as good!

Buffy's Refried Beans

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2009
After making these, my husband will never allow me to use canned refried beans again! These are very good and very easy. I did not use lard, because I didn't have it at the time. I used bacon fat mixed with a little vegetable oil, and they were awesome!

Chicken Lo Mein

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2009
There was just something about this recipe that I didn't like. I think if I were to make this again I would use less ginger, and grate it instead of chopping it.

No Bake Cookies III

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2009
This type of cookie is my husband's absolute favorite. I had lost my recipe, and found this one. I gave it only 4 stars because I had to increase the cocoa to 5 tablespoons, annd the cooking time to 3 minutes. Once that was done, they were perfect!

Jalapeno Pepper Jelly

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2009
This was the first time I have ever attempted jelly of any kind, and it came out perfectly! My family said it was the best jalapeno jelly they had ever had! I will definitely use this recipe again!

Royal Icing II

This icing was perfect! I baked sugar cookies for Christmas and used this icing to decorate. We drove 250 miles on Christmas day with these cookies jumping around in the trunk, and the icing stayed on.

Microwave Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2010
My oven isn't working and I have been looking for a dessert I could make in the microwave. This is it! I used a cherry pie filling/chocolate cake combo like someone else suggested and it was awesome! I didn't have enough applesauce so I used veggie oil and I frosted it with a canned chocolate frosting. I will make it again!
