This is a wonderful recipe! I baked half the dough, and froze the other half for another day. My husband thought that these were even better than the ones we buy at 'Corner Bakery'.

I'm not a huge fan of shortbread, but my husband and daughter gave this recipe an enthusiastic five stars. A very easy recipe, and it had a lovely texture. This seems like it could be a good base for a lot of desserts, actually.

Coffeebar Chai

Best Fried Green Tomatoes

Yum! This was great! I've never had these before, but have always wanted to try Fried Green Tomatoes (after seeing the movie, naturally). The only thing that I did differently from the recipe was to use seasoned breadcrumbs, and substitute buttermilk for the milk (because that sounded good to me!).

Grandma Minnie's Old Fashioned Sugar Cookies

A wonderful cookie! I found that these were much better, and easier to handle when they were *not* chilled. I made two batches, and only chilled one, and the unchilled batch rolled out smoothly and easily compared to the chilled batch.

Restaurant-Style Potato Skins

A perfect Superbowl snack....these did not last long! My sister thought they were *better* than a lot of restaraunts. I used real bacon, and topped it with ranch dressing instead of sour cream.

Yum! This was wonderful. I didn't change a thing this time (other than a handful of fresh italian parsley), but I'm sure there are lots of variations that would be good. A keeper.

Sue's Hot Fudge Sauce

Absolutely FABULOUS! I didn't blend at the end....simply whisked throughout the boiling part. It turned out smooth and perfect. I served it over french vanilla ice cream at a dinner party. It made a simple dessert after a big meal, but looked great. I had to print out copies for the guests, because everyone loved it!

Simple BBQ Ribs

These were wonderful! I've only made ribs once before, and they were tough and fatty and not very good. This recipe created perfect ribs. The meat literally fell off the bones! I used baby back pork ribs. I simmered the ribs for 45 minutes, then baked them, and finally finished them on the grill to give them a nice smokey, grill finish. Delicious!

Best Lemonade Ever

This was wonderful! I served it at a Mother's Day barbeque, and everyone loved it. Since it was served in a large clear container, I floated two lemons sliced into rounds, and also half a bunch of fresh mint leaves. Very pretty, and the mint added a nice touch of flavor.

Spinach Quiche

Oh, I loooved this. I served it at a family brunch to rave reviews. I skipped the mushrooms, and substituted some crunchy bacon. This was my second quiche recipe that I've tried from this site, and this one is hands-down the best.

Caramel Popcorn

This a perfect Fall snack.....delicious paired with some apple cider. I added two cups of walnut pieces/halves to the popcorn before mixing in the caramel mixture, and it was a wonderful tasting blend of flavors and texture.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

This was absolutely delicious, but the best part was how EASY it was! I was a little apprehensive about not browning the meat (I used a round rump roast), but it turned out perfectly without it. For those who thought that it made way too much gravy....it DID make a lot, but I think that was the point. My roast was able to be completely submerged for the entire cooking time, and it was so tender! I did thicken it with a little cornstarch/water mixture at the end. I also tossed in a bay leaf, and some super finely chopped onion.

Eileen's Meatloaf

This is a really good recipe! Meatloaf has never been a favorite of mine, but this is delicious. I added a few touches that my mom always used when she made meatloaf.....I sliced 4-5 potatoes into 1/4" rounds and layered them around the meatloaf, and then poured a can of tomato sauce over the whole thing before covering in foil and baking.
