Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2011
As good as everyone says it is, and prep time is all of 5 minutes. Thank you for sharing a wonderful recipe! I served it with chicken herb cous cous, and it was delightful.

Vegetable Biryani

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2009
This is a delicious starter recipe - we modified and added spices/peppers to give it a kick. The recipe is very mild on spice as is. Tip - water took 10+ minutes to evaporate in step 1, and rice was done in 20 minutes. Thank you!

This was the easiest and best received dessert at Thanksgiving this year! Thanks for sharing such a wonderful recipe :) Tip - crackers were done baking in 12 - 13 minutes.

Spooky Witches' Fingers

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2009
Such a treat - and so creative! This cookie has an almond-biscotti flavor. Be sure to roll the cookies into a shape no larger than your pinky finger because it will expand while baking. Also, adding green food coloring will make it even more witch-like :)

I wish I could give this 10 stars! This dish was gone in under 5 minutes, and people were scraping bits out of the pan even then! Fantastic dish :D Definitely will make again!

Chocolate Orange Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2009
These were delicious, but not entirely worth all the effort to make the half and halfs. I think a better option may be to make the cookie entirely orange flavored and then dip half in melted chocolate once it has cooled.

So easy to prepare, and gets rave reviews - my co-worker rightly called this "a reese's peanut butter cup on steroids"! Be sure to let this chill before serving.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2009
This was indeed big, soft and chewy - but as others have mentioned, it was missing something. It just wasn't sweet enough, no wow factor at all. Not quite sure what it was; a bit disappointing judging from the abundance of positive reviews.

This cake was SO easy to whip up, and the walnut glaze just gives it a beautiful, almost professional looking finish! Thank you so much for sharing- this was a HUGE hit. P.s. the cake finished baking in 40 minutes.

Homemade Black Bean Veggie Burgers

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2009
This was easy to prepare, and my mom (vegetarian) thoroughly enjoyed it. I would high recommend reducing cumin to 1 teaspoon and grinding it before adding to mixture. Also, needs a bit of a kick. We ended up putting more hot sauce on the burger when it was done. Overall wonderful :) Thank you!

Tomato Spinach and Basil Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2009
Unfortunately, this soup was a bust for me. The end result tasted like ketchup with a thick, overpowering flavor of onion. The consistency was far too chunky and thick, even after adding milk, blending the soup, and adding water. After much improvisation and addition of lots of black pepper, it was just edible at best :(

Classic Tiramisu

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2009
Overall an exceptionally delicious end result! As others have mentioned, be sure to add more coffee/liquid and get SOFT lady fingers that soak up the liquid. Also, make this dessert a day in advance and refrigerate for AT LEAST 24 HOURS to ensure it will be the correct consistency upon serving. These were the 2 things I overlooked- despite my oversight it tasted great! I'm excited to try it again, implementing these learnings.

Coffeebar Chai

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2009
Great chai, the flavors really come together and pop. It has an authentic Indian flavor due to the cardamom, ginger, and cinnamon combination. As others have mentioned, be sure to simmer for 15-20 minutes. I added only a little over 1 cup of milk...else it would have been too diluted of a concentrate. Also beware that the drink can get bitter quickly. Keep tasting while simmering to make sure it is to taste. Other than that, this is a must try- especially on a cold, snowy day!

Mulligatawny Soup I

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2009
Great soup, very similar to those I've tried in Bangladeshi restaurants. This is definitely a thick, hearty stew-like soup with vegetables, rice, chicken. I had to add a bit more pepper and cayenne to kick it up a notch- otherwise followed the recipe to the T. P.s. heavy cream is completely unnecessary, as stated by several other reviewers.

Spicy Indian Chicken with Green Masala

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2008
This was delicious. Even my father, who highly prefers traditional Punjabi cuisine, enjoyed this chicken and had seconds. Note: I had to add a few tablespoons of water towards the end, as the chicken was not fully cooked and was beginning to stick to the pan. Also added a pinch more salt and cilantro for extra flavor. Marinating over night helped too. So easy! A definite keeper :) Thank you for this recipe.
