Simple White Cake

I found this recipe here a few years ago, and since the first time I made it, it's been my standard white cake recipe. It's the best!

Tasty Breaded Seitan

I followed the recipe exactly using my own homemade seitan and it was SO good! Really, the best seitan recipe I've tasted. Even my non-vegetarian husband liked it ... it definitely lives up to the "tasty" part of its name.

Crackle Top Molasses Cookies

So good! I substituted brown sugar for half of the sugar, but otherwise made the recipe as posted. Exactly what I was looking for after Betty Crocker's molasses cookie recipe let me down!

Amish White Bread

Perfect basic bread recipe! It freezes and thaws very well and it makes delicious toast. I've made lots of different variations (switching up the sweetener and/or the flour types), and it always turns out great. The original recipe is maybe a little too sweet, so I do reduce the sugar most of the time.

Rich Chocolate Frosting

Excellent frosting! I cut the recipe in half and had just the right amount of frosting to ffrost a 9-inch two-layer cake. Yum!

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

So, so good! I did as other reviewers suggested, reducing the sugar to 2 cups, and replacing half of the oil with applesauce, and it came out perfectly sweet and moist. I served it with whipped cream flavored with a teaspoon of vanilla bean paste, and it was heavenly!

Blue Corn Cornbread
