Fish Tacos with Honey-Cumin Cilantro Slaw and Chipotle Mayo

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2010
We have had these three times in the last month and will have them again when my whole family visits soon. These are fabulous! I almost gave it 4 stars because I think the recipe is confusing but couldn't bring myself to do it -- they were that good. Regarding the recipe, it seems like they want you to make chipotle slaw but I'm pretty darn sure that it's honey-cumin slaw. We make these for two people and they are very quick and extremely tasty. There's something wonderful about the lime taste of the fish coated in panko (a favorite) coupled with that smoky and creamy chipotle mayo and the acidic and sweet crunch of the slaw. We don't like things very hot so we cut way back on the chipotle -- actually end up just adding a bit of the adobo sauce and that works for us. I highly recommend this to anyone.

Chocolate Bar Fondue

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2010
This is such an easy and failproof chocolate fondue recipe. The coffee really adds something great to it. As there is only two of use, we cut the recipe down a lot and it works magnificently. Reheats well too.

Sweet Restaurant Slaw

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2010
This is my kind of slaw! When I was a child I ate a bunch of sugar and mayo as my mother was preparing slaw and got really sick. Never ate slaw again for probably 25 years. Now I'm very picky about my slaw and this recipe is my favorite. I buy the shredded slaw packages and then even cut it down more finely to get just the right texture. Also, I often cut the recipe back to better serve two people and it works great. It does taste like what you get out.

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2010
This is a family favorite. The first time we served it to my niece and nephews, my youngest nephew (8 at the time) just ate bowls of it. We ate it on ice cream too. I used a lot of the suggestions from the feedback here and found the tips on working with the tortillas the most helpful -- I definitely cut them up before shaking them and also bake them in muffin tins to get a good scoop shape. I think someone suggested turning the muffin tin over and that worked really well. Read the reviews -- they are really helpful.
