Earthquake Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2010
The easiest cookies I have ever made. Big hit at my small group gathering. Best right out of the oven (of course). I followed the recipe too a tee expect I take cookies out a little before they are completely done to make them chewy. Will definitely be making these often.

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2010
I just tried this recipe and it was so simple and delicious! Don't let fear of working with chocolate prevent you from trying this recipe. Also, since there will be plenty of chocolate sauce left after the 1 lb of strawberries try dipping other fruits. In my opinion you can dip almost anything in chocolate and I'll try it! :-)

Valentine Cut-Out Treats™

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2010
I halved the recipe and made it with my three-year-old. Two things the recipe fails to mention: You need to add the cereal gradually and the mixture is so incredibly hard to manuver and hot that it should only be handled by an adult.

Mom's Applesauce Pancakes

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2009
Hard to cook but I did use "Just add water" pancake mix. But they were still yummy. A faint apple taste. Ate with syrup. Worth the trouble flipping the flimsy cakes.

Sugarless Applesauce Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2009
PERFECT! Moist, not too sweet yet not bland-just right. I just found this recipe today and just had my first bite. YUMMY! I didn't include the raisins 'cause I didn't have any on hand but I did everything else. Quick and simple. My mother has diabetes so this is great for her but this cake is great for anyone. This is easily going to become a favorite recipe of mine. Thanks for sharing!

French Toast II

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2009
I loved this recipe. I've made french toast before but never this good. I would have never thought to use brown sugar. Great recipe-I will definitely be using this often.

Caramel Cake II

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2009
I must have done something wrong because I did not care for this recipe. I was proud of myself when I made the caramel from scratch (never did this) but the end result was not moist but grainy and crumby. Not what I expected for Caramel cake. I did make is in one 13"x9" pan and used butter not shortening throughout. Oh well better luck next time?

Seasoned Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2009
Great, Great, Great, recipe. My family loved it. I am going to freeze the leftovers and I look forward to eating them later this week! Only thing I changed is I used worchestershire sauce instead of soy sauce because that's what I had. Yummy!

Brown Sugar Brownies

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2009
I just tried this recipe and unfortunately I am disappointed. I read the reviews and decided to decrease the salt, shorten the bake time and size of pan. When I mixed the batter as described in the recipe it was SO thick that I couldn't even stir it. It was so dry that I added an egg-still thick so I added one more egg (totaling 3 eggs) and spread it in the greased pan. I also sprinkled cinnamon on the surface before fully baked. It was nothing like a brownie. Dry, dense, unflavorful. I was truly unhappy with the result. I probably messed it up more.

Wonderful Banana Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2009
I loved this recipe! I followed the recipe except the 1 hour bake time. I followed the time on the box instead. It was very moist and sweet enough to not need frosting. My one mistake was frosting it with whipped topping. Instead just placing a dollop of whipped topping on each serving as ready to eat is probably a better method. Otherwise I got a lot of compliments on this rich and simple recipe!
