Fluffy Biscuits

Even my no biscuit makin wife had these turn out great...1st time in ten years we actually found a recipe that resembled biscuits... gonna try it with buttermilk next time.

Grilled Portobello Mushrooms

We have never had Portobello Mushrooms before.I tried this recipe and it was to die for.We will try this on our 4th of July picnic.I cooked them a little longer than what the recipe calls for and they had a wonderfull flavor and had a good crisp crunch...MMMMM Good.

Herman Sourdough Starter

So far my starter is doing well.Now going on day 8. I'm in no rush. Nice texture.Full of bubbles and the smell is very aromatic. I leave mine out on the counter,so I feed mine every day. Waiting for my 11-in. Round La Cloche Brick Oven by Sassafras to come in. Then I'll make my first loaf of San Fransico Sourdough Bread ( a secret recipe from my dad while in the navy (WWII),while in San Diego. Will do a series on it. Story and pics.

Raisin Bread II

I liked this recipe, but changed a few things in it. 1 cup water 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened 3 cups Gold Medal® Harvest King® Better for Bread™ bread flour 3 tablespoons sugar 1 1/2 teaspoons salt 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 2 1/2 teaspoons bread machine yeast 3/4 cup raisins
