About this Cook
I married my soul mate on my birthday 2008. I have a 17 year old daughter who lives on her own. I have a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice and a Master of Arts in Educational Counseling. My husband and I own Dreams and Memories Custom Jewelry. I make Magnetic hematite jewelry, beaded items, dream catchers, and tons of other stuff. I have been a rubber stamper for 15 years and am a published artist. I am also a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant.
My favorite things to cook
I am well known for my Lasagne and my baked goods. I have a recipe from my grandmother for "green Stuff" which many people call ambrosia with a twist. I love to Bake and to create new and unique meals. I enjoy cooking Mexican and Italian dishes as well as "American" food. I have recently begun baking bread, which I love.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Family traditions are "the Green Stuff", lasagne, and Christmas Cookies, bar cookies, Fudge, and Quick breads.
My cooking triumphs
I had an accident with a batch of sugar cookies I was making...I forgot thew sugar and when I tried the dough...YUCK. Since I did not want to waste the dough, I added the sugar at the end, but got crumbs, so I added some sweetened condensed milk until i got "dough". After baking, I sent theses cookies to work with my husband (he is the slot machine performance manager at a local casino) My husband gave some cookies to the Restaraunt manage (who is an award winning chef and pastry chef). The restaraunt manager liked my opps sugar cookies so much he asked my husband for my recipe!!!
My cooking tragedies
I have burnt the dinner a few times, made some experimental cassaroles that flopped, and tried recipes that underwhelmed me...but my husband always eats what i put in front of him (bless hims pee pickin little heart)
