Spinach Basil Pesto
I don't know what I did wrong with this recipe. I used fresh homegrown basil, toasted the pine nuts and just followed the recipe. Neither my husband nor I cared for it. BTW, I do like pesto.....in the jar.

Fake Sukiyaki
This was extremely bland and soupy, and I added 2 garlic cloves as well as tomatoes for extra flavor. Absolutely no 'asian' taste at all, just beef and spinach soup. I won't make this again.

Chicken, Asparagus, and Mushroom Skillet
What a great starter recipe! Can't give it a 5 star because I didn't have exactly these ingredients. I used the fresh herbs I had available which were basil, rosemary and oregano. Didn't have fresh asparagus or mushrooms, so used canned. Smelled fabulous cooking! I served over gnocchi, with a salad dressed with red wine vinegar and garlic infused olive oil. It felt like we were right back in Italy!
