Chinese-Style Baby Bok Choy with Mushroom Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2013
This was super easy, and delicious!! I didn't add any extra salt, and I added some ginger. I used half cremini and half portobello mushrooms. And, of course, cornstarch ;). It was really, REALLY good! I'll definitely be using this as a staple in my household.

Harvest Rice Dish

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2013
I thought this was really good. I made it exactly as the recipe called for. I really liked the flavor of the carmelized onion with the fruit and nuts....the only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I thought it had TOO much onion. I used 3 relatively small onions, but the dish still seemed like it was mostly onion. Still, the flavor itself didn't overpower everything, so it was still delicious :)

Applesauce Pork Chops

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2012
I really loved this recipe. I hardly ever cook pork, so I was afraid I'd overcook it, but it turned out great. Firstly, I doubled the recipe so my fiance and I would have leftovers for the next day. Instead of using canned applesauce, I just bought a few extra apples, diced them, heated on a skillet until tender, and then added about 2 tbsp (i may have gone overboard ;) of brown sugar to make the applesauce (i'm not a huge fan of cinnamon, so I didn't add any to that). Then, instead of using butter to cook the apple/onion mixture, I used vegetable oil. I followed the rest of the recipe as-is, and man did they turn out awesome. The cook time was about 35 minutes in the oven on 375.

Tasty Lentil Tacos

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2011
DELICIOUS! I recently made a lentil sloppy joes recipe from allrecipes that turned out really good, and I thought there must be a few for tacos with lentils. This was REALLY good! The flavor is just like tacos. The ONLY qualm i have about this recipe is that it was a bit runny and filling was falling out of hard shells. Next time, i think i'll let it simmer for even longer to thicken more. Thanks for the recipe!

Sweet Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2010
I didn't have a bread machine, so i followed the first reviewer's method... I also didn't roll them out into crescents, but instead opted for the simple round ball. These things came out phenomenal! They were just as good heated up in the oven the next day....

Buttermilk Pie

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2010
I decided to make this last night around 10pm because I had the munchies and felt like something sweet. I found this, searching for recipes with buttermilk, and MAN was I happy with the outcome! I only had 2 eggs, so I reduced the other ingredients a bit. This pie was sweet, tangy, and ended up with a delicious sugary "crust" on the top...I will most definitely make this again! I used the "easy to remember pie crust" from this site, which was also ridiculously easy and delicious...

Amish White Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2010
This turns out delicious! My only problem was that I usually would end up with a bit in the center that was undercooked...

Mushroom Orzo

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2008
I thought this recipe was awesome. I followed some reviewers suggestions and substituted beef broth for the water, which added alot of flavor. I also reduced the butter, per some reviewers suggestions (I used approximately 3/4 of what the recipe called for). I also used a few cloves of diced up fresh garlic instead of powder. What I added to the recipe was a can of diced tomatoes. This turned out to be DELICIOUS! I suggest anyone who likes tomatoes, try this. I added them towards the end, when the orzo had absorbed most of the broth. It added color and alot of flavor. I made the recipe without tomatoes at a later time, and didn't think it was nearly as good (still good, though ;). Overall, I love this recipe, and pretty much everyone who's tried it loves it as well!
