The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2011
This was waaaayy to sticky I live in a very very dry area so that was not the reason the only thing I did different was I halved the recipe I usually don't rate if I think I did anything wrong but I'm positive I made it exactly as written. To save it I rolled it in a log and put it in the freezer to cut

Green Chile Stew with Pork

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2011
Great recipe sooo easy and tastes great. Used a reviewers advice and put in cumin gives it a deeper flavor. Also I've played with the veggies and have used zucchini from the garden. Have now made three times and we love it.

Boiled Custard

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2011
Super simple and delicious added vanilla and put on direct heat since the double boiler wasn't working for me and that did the trick just stirred continuously until it was the right consistency

Grilled Pork Loin Chops

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2011
Great marinade I have used it also on chicken but I think it is by far better on the pork. The ingredients are readily available and i usually have it on hand. I've done it without ketchup and cinnamon still good just different. I'm not a huge fan of ginger but I do think it is a good addition here.

Grilled Roast Beef Sandwiches

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2011
I used jalapeño cheddar bread so I omitted the chilies and added grilled onions. I think the onions is what really makes this sandwich so I couldn't rate it better.

Marinated Baked Pork Chops

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2010
very good I tripled the sauce and made with a side of white rice and broccoli. The next day I used the leftovers to make pork fried rice~so good. Just saute onions in a large skillet add frozen peas and carrots add cubed pork leftover rice and a few dashes of soy sauce. Will definitely make again.

Cabbage and Dumplings

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2010
My family liked this next time i'll cut the butter in half since i couldn't get the whole head of cabbage in. I also tried subbing half a cup of the flour for whole wheat and i liked however my boyfriend didn't like those dumplings. Definitely tastes better with soy sauce. Since I use unsalted butter and kosher salt i didn't have a problem with it being to salty.

Simple White Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2010
Very good recipe. This cake has a wonderful taste it really isn't the best cake to use for decorating but it has a wonderful taste and is super easy to make. I made it as is but I softened the butter first and sifted the flour. I think that changes the texture that other reviewers were complaining about. My boys ate the whole cake in one sitting without frosting. If you are adding frosting you should probably use less sugar.

Quick-Stuff Pork Chops

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2010
soo fast and easy I just chopped the veggies while the pork chops were cooking and added a few min to the cooking time to be sure it was cooked through. I didn't have broth so i used 1/2 a bouillon cube and 1/2 cup of apple juice instead.

Walnut Lace Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2009
Lacey cookies aren't really traditional cookies they are meant to spread out really thin and be like a light wafer. Baka. When you take them off the cookie sheets you can form them, such as, into tubes. They are great with coffee or tea.
