Cream Filled Cupcakes

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2011
Easy to make and delicious to eat. I recommend adding a few extra tbls of cocoa powder to the cupcake batter. Also double the filling and use half to fill cupcakes and mix in cocoa powder with the other 1/2 to frost the tops. You may need to add a bit of extra vanilla and milk after adding cocoa powder to the frosting.

Mmm-Mmm Better Brownies

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2010
So I followed the recipe to a T, but they came out bland and cakey. I really don't know what went wrong... I will have to try another recipe.

Cake Balls

Reviewed: May 31, 2010
Nothing gets better than cake balls. I chose triple chocolate cake with 1/2 to 3/4 can of chocolate frosting and used semi-sweet bakers chocolate with shortening (3 Tbls choc: 1 1/2 Tbls shortening). I highly recommend freezing the balls before dipping in the chocolate. I needed almost 3xs as much chocolate as called for in the recipe. For a neat twist put popsicle sticks into the balls for cake pops. Absolutely amazing.

Baked Beans from Scratch

Reviewed: May 4, 2010
Thank you for everyone's suggestions. I added 1 1/2 tsp mustard powder and 2 tsp apple cider vinegar, 3 slices of bacon crumbled, and sauteed the onion in the pan that the bacon was cooked in for a more complex flavor. I cooked this in my 8 in dutch oven and it overflowed a bit so I have to clean the bottom of my oven (which is due anyways). These beans came out amazing. I will be serving them later on in the week with hamburgers and red potato salad.

Original Nestle® Toll House® Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2009
Wonderful classic recipe. Make sure your ingredients are at room temperature. I usually omit the nuts and refrigerate the dough before baking. It makes the cookies come out extra fluffy. Plus, then I only make a single cookie sheet at a time because otherwise we would eat all of the cookies.

My Best Clam Chowder

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2009
I loved this recipe. Simple, easy, but so delicious. The red wine vinegar sounds weird, but makes a huge difference. I cooked 4 slices of bacon ad sauteed the vegetables for a little while. I also used red potatoes and they were great.

Grandma's Old Fashioned Tea Cakes

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2009
These are simply and delicious. I add about 1 teaspoon of vanilla to mine. The dough is easy to work with. I make up a batch and only bake a few and refrigerate the dough. When I feel like tea I just pop a few more in the oven for fresh cookies.

Absolutely wonderful. The habanero is a must. I buy chicken breast (bone-in) and individually freeze them in the marinade. Then I just pull out how many I'll need in the morning.

Yummy Honey Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2009
This recipe is wonderful. I pre-prep many of my meals and then freeze them for quick and easy meals. This one works great. I love the marinade so I usually double that so that there is enough to boil for a sauce for rice. To freeze this meal I just pre-make the marinade and cut op chicken and freeze. I let it defrost while I'm at work and place kabobs in water. Then when I get home I chop veggies and grill. Also works good in the broiler.
