Red Pepper Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2009
This tasted good. I wasn't quite sure if i loved it, or if i was grossed out by it, but i think i liked it. Pretty much tasted like Red Pepper Soup. I would make it again, but only as a side dish to a meal, not as a main dish.

Maple Baked Pork Loin Roast

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2009
This was good good good. And it fell apart just like the recipe said! It was juicy, and it was delicous. I loved it. My husband and my mom and dad loved it. THank you!. Our roast was super long, and the recipe stated it was best if it came in two pieces, so i sliced that baby in half, gave them each their own foil packet, and it turned out marvelous, definately a keeper!!

Beef and Roasted Red Pepper Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2009
My husband and my mom loved this, i thought it was just o.k. I forgot to season it with the salt pep. and garlic powder which might have made the difference for me. Good recipe. Will be keeping it and changing it around to my liking. I loved dipping it into the gravy, that made it for me, i just wish when you dipped it didn't make the roll soggy.

Honey Roasted Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2008
My husband loved this, but i just thought it was o.k. it wasn't bad and wasn't good all at the same time. It was lacking a little flavor for me, i was expecting something a little different, just kind of tasted like a little sweeter red potatoe. I added some ketchup and it was fine. I'll end up making it again because the hubby and 13 month old loved them.

Bacon Wrapped Hamburgers

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2008
mmmm this was one of the best burgers i've ever had!! My hubby thought there was to much onion, but i LOVE onion,so i thought it was fine. Couldnt taste the bacon much, so next time i will cook the bacon seperate and add it on top. Also added cheese to mine, because you can't have a burger without the cheese!!

Christmas Cinnamon Pears

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2008
I think i might make this a new chrismas tradition. They were very good with that light hint of cinamon falvor. i served them on the lettuce, but did not eat the lettuce with it. The lettuce made the presentation, but that was about it for me. Will make again

Colonial Hot Buttered Rum

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2008
i made this and it smelled delicous all day, but when the time came and we actually had some, it was kinda mediciny tasting and the butter as other have said, floated to the top and made my lips feel all weird. It was very unpleasing. And It Wasnt because my crock pot wasn't hot enough because i had it simmering for 12 hours. I will not make this again, i made it, me and my hubby took 2 sips, and threw it out and ended up have rum and coke instead.

Baked Ziti III

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2008
I thought this was really good. Few changes i made, i tossed the pasta w/ the sour cream, and i fried the hamburger and onion together all at once as opposed to cooking the hamburger and then the onion and i also seasoned the meat w/ some garlic salt.

Southwest Chicken Salad I

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2008
I'm giving this 4 stars, just because i thought it tasted good, but it just tasted like a taco to me, and i think its a lot easier to fry up some chicken and/or hamburger and add a packet of taco seasoning mix and add lettuce and cheese and whatever you want, than it is to make the dressing, chop the cilantro, and the onion, etc. It was good, but i won't be making it again, i'd rather make a taco salad.

Bourbon-Mango Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2008
This wasn't bad, but i was a little dissappointed because i couldn't taste the mango/burbon flavor i was hoping for, so i ended up adding my own touches, such as brown sugar, liquid smoke, chili powder, to make it more to my liking.

Stuffed Green Peppers I

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2008
I'm giving it a 4 because of all the changes i made. I sauted the beef and onion with 2 cloves of minced garlic, and i also seasoned it with italian seasoning, oregano, ground cumin, salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper. Next time i am going to add 2 cups of cheese instead of 2 because i love things cheesy, other than the changes i made it was DELICOUS!! Thanks!

Chicken Salad in the Tropics

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2008
I thought the dressing for this salad was really gross, the sesame oil was WAY to overpowering, so i through out the dressing and completely started over, omiting the sesame oil, cutting the soy sauce in half, and also, leaving out the pepper, and even with that i still wasn't happy with the dressing. The salad was overall, just ok, nothing special, i would prefer a salad with ranch dressing and just some plain old grilled chicken over the top before i ate this one. BUT, my hubby loved it and scarfed it down, and finished mine, so i am giving it 3 stars, because i hated it and he loved it, so i found a happy medium.

Hot Spiced Cider

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2008
Made my whole house smell WONDERFUL!! It tastes delicous also! So easy to make. I made this on the stove over medium heat for a couple hours, wrapped all the spices in a coffee filter and tied it with a twist tie, and just let the cinnamon stick and oranges float in the cider. Abosolutely wonder. I had made a precious apple cider recipe and it tasted like theraflu, so i was hesitant to make this, but glad i did! Definately a keeper!
