I'm past the half century mark and am now living my dream of owning my own restaurant/music house in the "near" north Ontario
My favorite things to cook
There are many different items I love to cook/bake. My restaruant is an eat-smart restaurant and we are always creating healthy foods and preparing. No food that we serve is pre-purchased.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family had no cooking experience. My experience is based on on-hands learning & training. I attended culinary services at Canadore College in North Bay.
My cooking triumphs
We have a special Salmon Phyllo dish that we are very proud of. We also have the "best" pastry in the world, we add a special ingredient to ours.

Zucchini Mincemeat
Barb: This recipie sounds great. I also cook a meatless mincemeat, but instead of zucchini, I use the 6 cups of green tomatoes. This is used by many in my comunity. This recipie is delicious. Lori Mitchell, owner Renee's Cafe in South River, Ontario ps. don't use a food process for prep - it just makes the mixtures mushie.
