Tuna Fish Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2010
Great recipe. No deviation of any kind needed. Don't muck with this one. The genius in the right seasoning blend, espeically the lemon, onion and garlic powder.

Bow Ties with Sausage, Tomatoes and Cream

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2009
This was great. Immediately everyone told me to save that recipe. I'd suggest you use a little more sausage and get medium to hot sausage instead of mild to bump up the flavor a notch. Excellent. Agree with all, cream is the key. (even though I used fat free half and half)

Tuna Mushroom Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2009
There was way too much topping on my 1 quart casserole. My husband gave it a thumbs down. The thyme was entirely too overpowering and the rest too bland. Maybe if I had just sprinkled the topping on instead of using the entire amount as the recipe called for it would have been as others rave. 2 tsps is a lot of thyme as is a cup of breadcrumbs. I had to scrap the top off and throw it away, then sprinkle some cheddar on it to salvage the dish. Otherwise, the flavor was okay, just way too much thyme.

Italian Green Beans

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2009
Usually these rating are dead on but maybe it was the Italian dressing I used but it was way too sweet and greasy. I only ate a bite. Caution...test on a few beans first. I used a Robust Italian Dressing. On my fingers tasted okay but not on beans.

Grandpa's Classic Coney Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2009
Now this is a coney island, I have similar recipe. There is only one flavor truly Coney Island, all the others are chili. Only criticism is I've always had them wtih the onions steamed on top and cooked with the meat. American CLASSIC!!

Coney Island Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2009
Adjust liquids as follows to improve as others mentioned. Onions are never in the sauce. You steam them and put on top!! You can also steam or even grill the bun. My own recipe, like Johnny & Hons in Reading, PA, is same except for amounts the following: 3 Tbsp Plochman's mustard & 3 Tbsp Vinegar 1/2 cup Heinz ketchup 1 Tbsp sugar 2 Tbsp H20 1 1/2 tsp. worchestershire suace 1/2 tsp. tabasco 1/2 tsp. celetery seed.

Old-Fashioned Scalloped Corn

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2008
Great recipe, Only used 2 cans of creamed corn. (didn't have 3) Substituted french fried onion rings instead of saltines. This made it absolutely mouth watering. Was the first dish finished on Christmas Day.
