I made the cookies exactly according to the recipe, but mine were done after 12 minutes and I added cream cheese icing after they cooled a bit. I agree with the others who say these cookies have an odd, spongey, cake-like consistency. It definitely helps both the appearance and the taste to drizzle them with cream cheese icing. The flavor of the cookies is good (I used Duncan-Hines spice cake mix). But I think it is worth it to go to a little more trouble with more ingredients to make a better, more "cookie-like" cookie. I probably wouldn't make these again, but I'm sure my family will enjoy eating this batch, especially with the addition of the icing. UPDATE: the cookies got worse as they cooled down and became more spongey. Not impressed AT ALL. Would not recommend.
