The Best Banana Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2009
This was my first ever attempt at banana bread! I actually made muffins because I didn't have a loaf pan. I added chocolate chips and used the 1/2 white, 1/2 brown sugar. I forgot to add vanilla, nutmeg or cinnamon like some other reviewers suggested, but I didn't miss it. I may add it next time. I did cut the cooking time to about 40 minutes. They were crispy on the outside and nice and moist on the inside! I will make these again when I have leftover bananas!!

Orange Honey Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2009
Not a great recipe, even after following other reviewers suggestions. I added marmalade but it still lacked flavor for me. I did not like the look of it after cooking in the oven so I pan fried it for a bit. I ended up saving it by making the sauce, cutting up the b/s chicken and putting it all together in the skillet. I even added some more honey and a bit of orange rind for some extra flavor. I served it over rice but it was lacking. My husband didn't mind it but next time I would simply look for a more "orange chicken" recipe with more flavor.

Chinese Roast Chicken with Gravy

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2009
Yum, yum! I made this last night for dinner and it was sooooo easy!!! It was moist and delicious - my whole family loved it! When I noticed the soy sauce starting to burn a bit on the bottom of the pan I just added a bit more chicken stock. The gravy was delicious, but a bit salty Be sure to use low-sodium chicken stock and soy sauce (I only had regular soy). Thanks for a great recipe - will make again!!!

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2008
Yum, yum! I've made this a few times now. I use onion soup mix and beef broth. I may add real mushrooms next time. My hubby loves it and we are always looking for more!! I may double it next time so that there are leftovers. I cook it on low for just 5 hours or so. Sooooo easy to make and delicious!!

Slow Cooker Beef Stew III

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2008
Excellent, tasted just like mom's!! I did not add onion because my husband does not like it. The onion soup mix was fine. Used beef broth and a bit of water. Thickened it up at the end with a bit of cornstarch. Next time I may add peas just at the end like mom used to. I added turnip as well as I like it in my stew. This was very easy to make and very comforting on a cold winter day!! I cooked it on high for six hours. Yum yum, I will make it again!!
