Followed this recipe exactly, except for fresh cilantro instead of dried. It was quite good.

Pork Dumplings

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2010
These were quite good... Served them with sweet chile sauce which went well together. I took the advice of another reviewer and boiled them rather than steaming them... next time I will try steaming them because my wonton wrappers just fell apart in the boiling process, perhaps it was too hard of a boil. The dumplings themselves were good enough to definately try again. Thanks for sharing the recipe.

Paprika Chicken with Sour Cream Gravy

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2010
Very good!!! I didn't have chicken breasts, so I used chicken tenders. I also took the advice of another reviewer and upped all seasonings added (except cayenne) to a tbsp. This was so good, both kids were licking their plates to get all the sauce. Will make again because it was good, not to mention easy!

Slow Cooker Texas Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2010
Oh, this is VERY tasty! Followed the directions exactly. I did however use olive oil rather than veggie because all I had was olive oil but I agree with another poster and I think the oil could have been skipped. Nice juicy sandwiches, that had my hubby asking for leftovers for days. lol

Moroccan Tagine

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2010
OMG! I am still craving this! If I could eat it almost every day, I would happily. Only thing I did different is I followed some others suggestion and added a dash of cinnamon, cumin and turmeric. So tasty! My husband was battling me for the leftovers! lol

Chicana

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2010
mmm this was very tasty, followed the recipe almost exactly. Only thing I did different is take the advice of another person and coated the meat in flour and slightly browned it before following the directions to the T afterwards. I also used a can of diced tomatoes instead of the water. We ate it like a stew and dipped tortillas in it. Scrumptious!

Feta Cheese Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2010
No Bun Needed!!! These are supremely good and bursting with flavor... I soaked some sun-dried tomatoes (not oil packed) in about 1/4 cup boiling water for about 10 minutes to rehydrate them. The only thing I did different with the burgers was added the liquid (just the liquid) from the tomatoes to the turkey and added a pinch of garlic. I made mini burgers because of how I was serving it. While I cooked the burgers, I browned some mushrooms and set them aside. I then caramelized a medium onion, sliced. When they were caramelized, I added a pinch of garlic, the rehydrated dried tomatoes, a dash of garlic salt and pepper and allowed it to warm through. I added that hot mixture to a large bowl containing one bunch of fresh spinach and let the heat from that mixture wilt it. To plate, I added the spinach mixture then topped it with some browned mushrooms. Sprinkled it with just a tiny amount of feta. Placed two mini burgers on top and served it with a spoonful of Garlic Aoili from Jake & Justine on this site. This was wonderful!!! Low on carbs and healthy! Didn't take long either which is always a plus... Deeeeee-Lish!!! The burgers themselves were fabulous too!!! AAA+++

Pasta with Roasted Butternut Squash and Sage

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2010
This dish was quite tasty before you drizzle with the balsamic vinegar but I must say, and my family completely agrees, that once you do add the vinegar, it totally makes the dish! I was skeptical but tried it and delish! Thanks for the share! :)

Pico de Gallo Chicken Quesadillas

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2009
Delicious! Absolutely Delicious! Only thing I did different was I used a mix of cheddar and mozzarella because I did not have Jack. I, followed the directions except I boiled and shredded the chicken and I cooked the quesadillas on my panini press.... To quote my 5 year old.... "Best Dinner Ever!"

Slow-Cooked German Short Ribs

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2009
Mmmm Goood! I couldn't find chili sauce (don't know where to find it in my supermarket) so I used Sarucha (aka "rooster" sauce, Hot Chili Sauce) in its place, didn't use the entire amount called for (about 2/3 of the half cup) and replaced the rest with some ketchup. Left this dish delish! Spicy and so tender it melted in our mouths! Tasty!

Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2009
Absolutely the best stuffing I have ever had in my life!!! I will never make stuffing from the box again. Followed the recipe almost exactly... the only difference I did was I used 6 cups of cubed ciabatta bread and fresh herbs (doubled for fresh). Delicious! There wasn't a single bit left after doubling the recipe for just 10 people! Don't hesitate this is unbelievable!

Very, Very Tasty! The whole family enjoyed this fish (even the very picky 5 year old)! I changed this just a little. I didn't have celery salt so I used garlic salt and I added a couple of dashes of cayenne to the mix. Will most definately will make this again! Thanks for the recipe.

Mexican Zucchini Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2009
I didn't have Velveeta so I used Kraft singles slices, it gave it a cheesy flavor but I don't think it made it as thick as it was supposed to be. My husband loved it, he ate 3 helpings which is VERY rare for him and soup. I enjoyed it, the kids weren't especially thrilled with it but hey it was worth a try. :)

Scallops Mascarpone

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2009
Quite tasty... only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I'm not a huge fan of scallops but my husband is a fish monger and brought home a bunch of broken scallops that they couldn't sell. So this is what I ended up making with them and it was good. My oldest son absolutely loved it!

Cajun Spiced Pork Chops

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2009
Yummy!!! WOW! Now these things have some heat! A bit too spicy for the kids but my husband and I loved them... lol, however I just may have heartburn for the first time in a while after eating these! But I must mention, I used 12 pork chops so I did the spice rub x4 so that could be why. Thanks for the recipe, I will make these again but may cut down on the cayenne.

Spinach Feta Pizza

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2009
BEST PIZZA EVER! Just writing this rating is making me drool, lol... Ok but I do have to say I changed the recipe ever so slightly. First to cut down on time, I used a Boboli pizza crust. Also, the family likes meat, so to get them to eat the veggies, I had to compromise and put some spicy Italian sausage on it. Saute'd the onion and garlic with the sausage, skipped the garlic salt. Putting it together, I just spread the sausage mixture on top, then the spinach, then mushrooms, the feta, the mozzarella and topped it all off with fresh basil ribbons, not dried! SOOO delicious! Try it and I'm sure you'll enjoy! Can't wait to have this again. LATER: This has become a regular in our house and no one gets tired of it! It is often requested. Still as delicious as it was the first time... totally love it and wanted to say, because I forgot to before.... Thank You SOOOO much for sharing this recipe!!!
