I'm a very happily married mother of two beautiful little girls (a 6 month old and an 8 year old) and a recent casualty of the economy. I constantly try to find humor in everything, but when my cooking goes all wrong, I don't find it very funny. I'm very sensitive about my cooking. ::Sniff::

Baked goods. Way too many.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Traditions? My mom thinks it's so funny that I have such an interest in cooking as our meals consisted primarily of spaghetti, burgers and tuna fish growing up. She sure does love all the yummy things I share with her though!
My cooking triumphs
Making my first cheesecake- and it was perfect. Also, having a co-worker pay me to bake for their family's Thanksgiving dinner. That was quite the compliment.
My cooking tragedies
In my pregnancy haze, I forgot to put sugar in sugar cookies. Whoops.

Gracie's Amazing Vegetarian Burritos
This was excellent! We're not vegetarians, but trying to eat more plant based meals. It was definitely on the spicier side, which was totally fine by me and my older kiddo, but was a little much for my mom and little kiddo. I will definitely make again, just cutting the cayenne in half to appease the more sensitive taste buds. Thank you for sharing this.

Bread Pudding II
I've never really had bread pudding before, but my mom claims to be an expert, and she dubbed this "EXCELLENT!" I just heated up a cup of half and half and a cup of skim milk in the microwave as my "scalded" milk. I didn't use nuts because I was too lazy/exhausted from work/kids/etc. to chop them right now, but sprinkled a little snack pack of raisins on top. For the bread, I used a starting to go moldy bag of Amoroso rolls- I cut the moldy bits off, of course! Great recipe. Thanks!

Chicken Noodle Soup II
Love this recipe. I don't make the noodles, just use half a pack of egg noodles instead.
