About this Cook
I'm 46, married with 2 kids and I really like to cook for my family. I'm teaching both my kids how to cook.
My favorite things to cook
I make a mean chicken fahita, spagetti and meatloaf. My family is not into leaving much left overs so when what I cook is gone, I know they liked it.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We really don't have a tradition yet, my kids are just learning to cook and bake, we do get together and prepare some of our dinners to save time.
My cooking triumphs
Just this past October I was baking my niece in law's birthday cake. There was going to be about 12 people there so I had to make a cake big enough for everyone. So, I made 2, 9x13 in. cakes and put then together and decoraed it. It was so much fun making a cake from cratch and having every morsal of it eaten.
My cooking tragedies
I made or should I say I tried to make my husband's favorite meal. It was our first night together in our new home and I wanted to make him Meatloaf with mashed potato's and green beans. Well, the potato's were runny, lumpy and cold,I drained all of the water out of the green beans and started a small fire in our microwave and the meatloaf was so over cooked it looked like a flat hockey puck. I cried like a baby. 18 years later, my husband can't wait to eat my meatloaf and my mashed potato's are not lumpy or runny.

Mexican Wedding Cakes II
Being a diabetic, I have lerned to change recipies around to make them more Diabetic friendly. I like this recipie because it doesn't call for alot of the confectioners sugar do I can actually eat mre than one. I make this every Christmas for my family and friends. I make several batches changing the extracts. My favorite is peppermint. This year I am going to try lemon and orange. I also read a review where theperson colored the dough, that sounds like fun especially where I like to use peppermint extract. I'll let you know how they turn out.

Mexican Wedding Cookies
This is a recipie that I make for my family and friends every year at Christmas. I make several batches using different extract's, my favorite is peppermint flavor. This year I am going to try lemon and orange extracts, I'll let you know how they tuned out. Seriously, I don't think that you can ever go wrong with any flavor you choose with these cookies.
