I'm 25 years old and I'm Italian, German, Polish, & Irish. I work full-time, for the last 3 1/2 years, at an insurance agency and recently transfered to the Risk Management Department and I also work for a direct selling company, Vantel Pearls in the Oyster. I've been with Vantel Pearls for 4 years. I live with my best friend and I love it! I do most of the cooking though.
My favorite things to cook
I LOVE to cook Italian food, esp. my chicken Parmesan! Anything pasta I like to cook b/c you can't really mess it up! I enjoy cooking chicken dishes also, esp with BBQ sauce! It's favorite condiment ever! Tastes great on anything, I highly recommend Tastefully Simple's Smooth Talking BBQ Sauce OR Sweet Baby Ray's Award Winning BBQ Sauce! I'd have to say I'm kind of a BBQ guru!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every Christmas Eve my mother makes Fish and Perogis. It's a Polish dish that they always eat on Christmas Eve. Every year on my father's birthday my mother makes her homemade mashed potatoes and meat loaf. Those are the only two cooking traditions we have, but I'm working on making my own now!
My cooking triumphs
My cooking triumph would have to be my baking skills! I use to be a horrible baker. If it came in a box I could make it, and still manage to burn it. I made a pumpkin roll a few weeks ago from scratch and it was amazing, so I was VERY pleased with that!
My cooking tragedies
I tried to make home made fried chicken once and you would have thought the house was burning down. Smoke and burnt chicken filled the house! My exboyfriend, his brother, and father took off running to the garage and wouldn't come in until it was all clear. I haven't tried to make it since, I'll stick to the "Fake n Bake" Fried chicken!
