This is the only chocolate chip cookie recipe I use. I have modified it to my tastes to make it even better. First, reduce the butter by 2 tablespoons, otherwise they spread too much and are a tad greasy. Second, reduce the white sugar to 1/4 cup as they are very sweet and you can cut down the sugar w/o affecting the product. Third, I use white whole wheat flour and I think it improves the taste. Finally, I always chill the dough for at least and hour to get a fat thick cookie, but if you don't have the time, this step is not essential. I love using mini M&M's with this recipe. I will never use another chocolate chip recipe again!
