Harvest Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2014
Made for our pot luck bell choir rehearsal... had to "hide" last serving to take home! This is a definite winner!

Easy Lasagna I

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2014
Great and easy. Kids finally know what lasagna is (other than Stouffer's!) Drained meat first then added shallots to the sauteed onions.. then put meat and sauce back into skillet. (I used Trader Joe's Arrabbiata Sauce-it's wonderful!) Also minced 3 cloves garlic, and added fresh chopped basil into cheese mixture and used aged Parmesan w/Romano on top ... broiled top until browned.. BUT great basic recipe! Thanks!(Oh.. had to leave out the mushroom-kids won't touch canned mushrooms - sorry!)

Only changed...Grilled chicken breasts on grated cast iron skillet before cubing breasts.. then added ingredients as per recipe.. excellent flavor.. and we (and kids) are very picky when it comes to our soft tacos!

Meatiest Vegetarian Chili From Your Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2013
First try at vegetarian chili as several vege family members came for dinner.. and all meat eaters loved it as well.. even competed with seafood gumbo! We love spicey.. so added some more "kick"! But any recipe that starts with 4 onions, garlic and tomato.. is a winner! Thanks!

Beef Tenderloin With Roasted Shallots

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2012
As our chef Dad could not be with us this Christmas (and he always does the cooking!), I thought I'd try my best to imitate his port wine sauce. We just finished finished Christmas dinner with rave reviews...one of our best... right up there with Dad's. Great recipe will definitely do again!

Spinach Basil Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2012
We were looking for an "end of summer-basil plants need to be used" recipe and had had enough pesto (if that's possible).. This was the perfect "surprise!" Very good! and different. As a family member doesn't eat pork... I substituted sun-dried tomatoes for the prosciutto and slowly ... very slowly heated oil/garlic in the tomato oil... FANTASTIC salad!.. and different enough to have everyone craving more! Thanks!

West African Chicken Stew

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2008
mediocre.. quantity of ingredients way too much.. Potatoes & chicken amt can be halved.. just make sure you don't "hold over"... par boil potatoes first!
