Chicken and Dumplings III

Excellent! My family loved it. The only change I made was adding a bay leaf while simmering the broth. The dumplings were wonderful, and I didn't peek.

Good Ol' Alabama Sweet Tea

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2009
Excellent tea with less sugar. Easier to steep the tea in a tea pot with a lid. Fewer tea bags are needed with this method. Steeping with a lid on makes a stronger tea. The best way to prevent a glass pitcher from breaking when adding the boiling water, is to put a metal knife or other metal utensil in the pitcher first. My mother always did this and the pitcher will not break. Or, you could use a pyrex pitcher.

Corn Pudding V

I love this recipe, with 4 beaten eggs added. I always bake it in a hot water bath (boiling water in a larger pan)for about an hour and a half, it turns out like a poofy souffle, beautiful.

Holiday ONLY Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2008
The trick to avoid the "sticky" consistency is to drain potatoes well let sit a few minutes to dry some as the butter melts. Then add the cream a little at a time and mash or whip with a hand mixer till fluffy. No more gooey mashed potatoes.

I love this recipe and have used it for years. I sprinkle generously with cinamon sugar just before popping it into the oven.
