About this Cook
I took 3 years of Food Service in High School. I've worked in food service once I became old enough to do so lol I've worked in alot of bakeries, and moved on up to a bakery manager for a few years till I had my daughter. Now I'm a SAHM. I enjoy cooking during the cooler months, not so much when it's hot out.
My favorite things to cook
Italain foods!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I don't think there is any? I made my own tradition .. I don't use any oil when I fry food (not deep fry) .. believe it or not .. I use water! Meats have their own fats why add more ;)
My cooking triumphs
Hmm .. gotta think on this one lol
My cooking tragedies
haha I worked in a deli once and I got old enough to actually use the chicken fryer .. lol It was a 4th of July weekend, packed with chicken orders and I was going crazy lol The fryer need more oil and I got side tracked and pick up something that I though was the oil n it was WATER! not good not good at all .. a big old mess it made and it was scary too! And we got more backed up LOL opps! lol

Spinach and Cheese Stuffed Pasta Shells
I made this tonight for dinner. I made it for "4" servings instead of 6 because I didn't have that many shells. I added an extra teaspoon of fennel seeds .. and I added extra sauce as I like saucy shells and sprinkled mozzarella cheese on top. Came out excellent! I will be making it again for sure :)

Apple Oatmeal Crisp
I added juice of 1 lemon and 1/2 tsp vanilla. I baked it only 35 minutes and it was so very dry.

Turkey Tetrazzini II
This was a great recipe. I changed it a little bit. I used ground turkey. I browned it with onions and 2 cloves garlic, added a spinkle of dried basil, plus salt and pepper. I only added a 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese because that's all I had, but added 2 cups shredded montgomery jack cheese. I mixed most of the cheeses in it .. leaving just a little for the top. Then I melted butter (maybe 4 tbs spoons) in the microwave and mixed garlic and herb breadcrubs in the butter and sprinkled it over top. Baked it for 40 minutes, cooled it for 30 minutes. It was awesome. My daughter is a picky eater, and she ate 2 servings!!
