Fried Green Tomatoes III

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2013
I have tried these and another recipe from this sight. Both are excellent and I do add cajun seasoning to the breading and use some bacon grease. I use this recipe if I am out or cornmeal. Both recipes are good. I do tweak mine b/c I like the added kick of cajun seasoning. You can't go wrong with this recipe!!!!! Another great hit with my family!!!!

Sensational Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2013
I just made this and it is wonderful!!!!! My husband ate 2 bowls and is talking about eating some more!! LOL I did use chicken thighs and deboned them after I boiled them and use that broth as my starter. I grated 2 cloves of garlic in the chicken stock. I also used store bought noodles. This is easy to make and so tasty!!! Great comfort food!!!!

Potato Chip Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2013
My husband and I just finished this and I had to give my input. The chicken was very moist; but the flavor of the chips didn't come through very good. I did not marinated it over night, didn't feel the need to. I will make this again, but will add a little seasoning to the chicken before rolling in the crumbs. If I didn't feel it needed to be tweaked some, I would have given it 5 stars. I did give it a 4 because I will make again, adding some spices!!!

This is in the oven right now. I didn't make individual ones, I used a frozen deep dish pie shell and filled it. I have made this several times and add anything that my husband and I like in an omelet. This has never failed!!!!! Great breakfast dish!!!!!!

Delicious Chicken Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2012
I did like this casserole, I gave it a 4 b/c I had to make some changes and felt I couldn't give it a 5 since I didn't make it exactly how it was written. This is what I did: I only had one can of cream of chicken soup on hand so I used a can of cream of mushroom also. I did add mixed vegetables as others said to do. I also used a bread crumb topping. With those changes, it was very good and I had a friend to drop by as we were sitting down to eat and they loved it!!! I will make this again and may keep it as I did this time or try it exactly as written. Enjoybale dish!!!!

Cabbage Rolls II

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2012
I made these last night and they went ovr VERY well, thinking I'd have some for left-over lunch today.NOT!!!! I did make a few changes, I put the cabbage in ice cold water for 10 minutes so the leaves would pull off the head easily. I got this tip off another recipe. I also par boiled the leaves for 4 minutes, then drained and cooled them before stuffing. I also cut back on the sweetness of the sauce!!!! These are so good!! Had garlic cheese bread with them and that's what was for dinner last night!!!!!

I make two pies, one with regular frozen pie crust and one with graham cracker crust and they both go fast!!!!! I am not sure which one I like the best, they both are so good!!!

This was a nice cool, refreshing salad. I did use home grown cherry tomatoes and home grown cucumbers that were given to me. I made 2 bowls, one I added fresh dill. They were both very good and my family loved them both. This is a good way to use up garden vegetables and it goes with any meal. It taste best when you let mariande for several hours. Try it, you will like it!!

Best Fried Green Tomatoes

Reviewed: May 19, 2009
I made these 2 nights ago and other than adding some cajun seasoning to the mixture and used some bacon grease, I did as recipe stated. These were a big hit. I don't think I cut them as thick as the recipe stated; but they weren't too thin. I love these!!!! A good southern staple!!!

Cabbage Roll Casserole

Reviewed: May 14, 2009
I am a fairly good cook. I use recipes from this site almost daily. This is the first and only one that my husband and I did NOT like at all. I followed the recipe exactly and was so looking forward to this dish. It was so bad, we threw it out and ordered pizza, which is a first for us!!! I will stick to the old fashion cabbage rolls that have NEVER failed me. This was a waste of food and money!!!!
