I LOVE this recipe!!! I do have a bread machine which makes it easier on me. The only things I do different: I use 1/2 cup butter (1 stick) only because I am too lazy to cut it down to 1/3. I typically form the dough into balls, place them in a muffin pan making each "muffin" out of 2 dough balls. I do not butter the dough before it rises, instead I grease the pan. I have found that they rise better for me without that extra butter. I have also used 1 cup wheat flour in lieu of 1 of the cups on all-purpose flour. This makes for an excellent wheat roll! I don't suggest using bread flour for this recipe. In my experience they don't come out as fluffy but if it's all you have, they will taste fine just will be a little heavy.
