Apple Butter Pork Loin

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2012
Simple recipe yet my husband thought he was getting something fancy. I cooked it based on weight as suggested by other reviews. I used my homemade applebutter which is loaded with spices so I left out the sugar, cinnamon, & gloves. It turned out wonderful. I am wanting to try this in the crockpot next.

Iced Pumpkin Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2011
This recipe is super easy to make! The only differences I made were adding a little bit of cinnamon to the icing and I used fresh pumpkin puree. This cookies are super addictive to eat as they aren't super sweet and are soft like cake.

Refried Beans Without the Refry

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2011
The recipe is fab!!! Super easy to make and my family loved them. However I didn't strain my beans which was a mistake. I ended up with "bean soup". I froze the leftovers and when I heated them back up the consistency was perfect.

Dry Rub for Ribs

Reviewed: May 3, 2011
This recipe is great! I oven baked my ribs and they turned out delish. ETA: Since I was feeding this to my kids, I reduced spices to half. I prefer to use a sharp paprika rather than a sweet. I also tried this on chicken and didn't like it at all. I will be sticking with ribs as the meat choice.

Sweet Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2011
I LOVE this recipe!!! I do have a bread machine which makes it easier on me. The only things I do different: I use 1/2 cup butter (1 stick) only because I am too lazy to cut it down to 1/3. I typically form the dough into balls, place them in a muffin pan making each "muffin" out of 2 dough balls. I do not butter the dough before it rises, instead I grease the pan. I have found that they rise better for me without that extra butter. I have also used 1 cup wheat flour in lieu of 1 of the cups on all-purpose flour. This makes for an excellent wheat roll! I don't suggest using bread flour for this recipe. In my experience they don't come out as fluffy but if it's all you have, they will taste fine just will be a little heavy.

Michelle's Peanut Butter Marbled Brownies

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2011
These brownies are amazing! Easy recipe to make and a big fit with the family. If one isn't a fan of peanut butter, the brownie part would be excellent by itself.

Salsa Ninety Nine (Mild)

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2010
First time making salsa and I LOVED this recipe! For me it was very time consuming but well worth the work. The only changes that I had, I felt that I didn't have enough bell pepper so I added in some hot banana peppers. This is one of those foods that you can't stop eating once you start! I will make this again.

Cinnamon Rolls III

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2010
These were super easy! I had never made cinnamon rolls before and I was able to do it with ease. I didn't change a thing and made the recipe as written. However I didn't care for the icing. The cream cheese was too strong for my taste but my husband really liked it. I will be making these again.
