Chicken Noodle Casserole I

I used some rotisserie chicken from the grocery store & roast turkey I used some turkey gravy I also had in the freezer . That was an awesome addition .I halved the sour cream just personal preference . Added some onions flakes & about 1 tsp of Mrs Dash chicken seasoning , it added a nice flavor . To cut out a lot of calories I didn't use the butter just crushed some soda crackers on top , they are really good add a nice crunch .

Chef John's Pumpkin Pancakes

Very tasty pancakes . I did add a bit more milk then recipe called for but that's the only change I made . Next time I think I would add just a tat bit less all spice to suit our taste .

Cinnamon Sour Cream Biscuits

I made these and was pretty disappointed that they didn't rise up , really flat biscuits . Taste was good and they were moist . Next time will add more baking powder because it really did seem like a small amount for biscuits . Oh it doesn't make 12 normal size biscuits , must be much smaller .

Really Easy Chowder

Banana Oat Muffins

They were okay but not the best muffins I have made but they are moist. They were actually better after a day or two . The recipe doesn't make 12 muffins unless they are mini muffins .

Bacon Wrapped Hamburgers

I forgot to review them when I made them before . All I can say is these are on the menu for Father's day for my burger loving husband . The best combo I've had for a burger . Going to pick up some gourmet cheese buns at Sobeys to go along with them . For those having trouble with them falling apart make sure your grill is good and hot and don't flip them to soon , let them brown up on one side first .

Banana Yogurt Muffins

These are so nice & moist . I did add a little extra banana , not wasting it because it was a little over the cup measurement . BTW 1 cup banana is roughly 3 med bananas . Use whatever kind of yogurt you have on hand .Oh 1 little change I used half brown sugar & half stevia .

Grilled Fish Tacos with Chipotle-Lime Dressing

I usually don't review a recipe if I have made alot of changes , this time I will . Only to help other people out . First off this was the first time I made fish tacos so wasn't sure if ths was a good recipe to start with . The changes I made was to suit our taste and nothing against the recipe it's self . For example I cut the amount of lime back , glad I did ,didn't use any lime zest.Instead of adding cumin & chili powder I used Epicure taco seasoning . I didn't have old bay seafood seasoning so I looked up what was in it and used what I had on hand .The marinade is good , could just eat the fish using it and not make tacos with it . The sauce I don't like adobo sauce so I left it out and didn't use the lime zest just the juice and again used the taco seasoning . Overall it was a nice light meal and a good basic recipe to start with and adjust to your own taste . Thought the sauce would also be good on chicken .

Roasted Lemon Herb Chicken

This is a great recipe . I used 2 cornish hens because they were in my freezer & needed to be cooked . I mixed the oil , juice of 1 lemon , Italian herbs, garlic powder ,onion flakes , salt & pepper and a little honey dijon mustard, because thats what I had on hand , together to get them more evenly over the chickens.It was nice and juicey & tender .Think I will try this mix on chicken breast on the BBQ next summer .

Pizza Dough III

I usually don't write reviews if I have changed the recipe but this time I am , not big changes . When I did my yeast in the water I only used 1/4 cup of water & 1 tsp sugar because that's what the yeast called for . Plus I didn't know if I really was going to need the whole cup of water after reading the reviews . I made it early in the afternoon and let it sit and rise until I was ready to make my pizza (about 3 hours ). It was a very nice light crust so I was happy . Of course the oven temp was 425 degrees . Will use it again .

Pineapple Pie I

I had some fresh pineapple and fresh coconut I needed to use up so I came on Allrecipes looking a good recipe . Well it didn`t fail me. This recipe is delicious and easy . Only change I made was add a about a tsp of vanilla and made small individual pies . Before this I didn`t even know pineapple pie existed .I need to find a way to make it sugar free so I can eat more of it .

Creamy Cherry Tomato Salad with Fresh Basil, Corn and Onion

This really isn't a review of the recipe the way it's suppose to be made . But when I read the recipe I thought wow this would make a really good side dish warmed up . Yesterday I had leftover corn on the cob so I thought great time to give it a try . The only changes I made to the ingredients was left out the mayo & sour cream , used white wine vinegar because I didn't have rice vinegar . I also used dried onions . What I did was add a little olive oil to a tin pan added the rest of the ingredients , they sat for a bit while I cooked the rest of the meal . Then put them on the BBQ to warm them up . We were having Med. seasoned fish and baked potatoes it went perfect with them . So thanks for the recipe to inspire me .

Basil Chicken over Angel Hair

I made this for supper and won't try it again untilthe summer time when the tomatoes might have more juice in them . Pretty dry even after I added some tomato juice from a can of tomatoes . I didn't even put as much pasta in as it called for . The taste was good , so that's why I'm goin g to retry it later .

Sweet and Sour Chicken I

Tried this recipe today . Really nice pineapple flavour . I did make a couple changes to suit our diet didn't use the coating just fried the chicken in a little olive oil with a little soya sauce , dried onions & pepper . Also when I made the sauce I used agave nectar instead of sugar . No peppers for me so added some sliced carrots for colour . I also only used 4 pieces of chicken but didn't change the sauce amount . Had with plain rice and sliced tomatoes on the side .

Braised Balsamic Chicken

Made this recipe last night it was so refreshing and light . I only made a couple small changes . First I sliced the chicken before I cooked it because I was putting it with spaghettini . I only have garlic powder in the house so I used that . I only had 1/4 cup of balsamic vinegar so used chicken broth and added extra since I wanted lots of sauce for the spaghettini . It was great definitely will be making this again . Did the mixing of tomatoes, herbs and vinegar & broth in a bowl first like suggested by another review .

Chicken with White Wine Sauce

This is a nice recipe . I didn't have any flavour boost so I used about a half box of Campbells Stock First , had to let it simmer longer . But I think that was a good thing , the chicken took on even more flavour . Only other changes I used dried thyme and used 2 shallots ( 1 I put in with the chicken while it browned up ). Of course I added salt & pepper . This is a great recipe because it would change to whatever type of wine you used . Might even try this with some rosemary added to it .Served with mashed potatoes & string beans . The only thing I would say to people who don't like the taste of wine you might want to try another recipe . Or maybe use chicken stock instead of wine .

My son has changed the name of this recipe to the Amazing Chicken . The only changes I made was I didn't use the lemon pepper just regular pepper and added some onions flakes . One hint I would give is if using low fat cheese watch it closely because it went rubbery really quickly .
