Christmas Breakfast Sausage Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2011
OH MAN, this was soooo GOOD! I will definitely be making this more often. I used 3 cups of unseasoned stuffing instead of toasting bread for convenience, and added a few spices. I also didn't have any mustard powder so I used a tsp of Grey Poupon. It was so easy to make and absolutely delicious. I just wish it didn't take so long to cook!

Honey Bran Muffins

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2011
I make these often for my family. The only thing I change is I use a diced apple in place of the raisins and apple juice in place of the pineapple juice. This is only because I usually have those on hand more often. These turn out great every time. The batter really doesn't look like it will turn out right when you first make them, but don't worry it does thicken up and bake wonderfully after refrigerating all night.

Double Layer Pumpkin Cheesecake

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2011
If I could give this more than 5 stars, I would. This is the best of both worlds and always turns out perfect. After making this last Thanksgiving, my family no longer wants a regular pumpkin pie. This is our new Thanksgiving dessert each year.

Blueberry Banana Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2011
I used 3 bananas and 2 cups blueberries and made 2 large loaves instead of 3 small. Cooked for about 40 minutes and turned out perfect!!! It really is true that you don't need butter. Just warm up a slice in the microwave for 15 seconds and it's like you just pulled it out of the oven. So so yummy!

Rich Chocolate Frosting

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2011
I am the type of person that scrapes the frosting off of the cake - just not a big frosting person. I've been looking for a good, creamy, not-too-rich or waxy frosting and THIS IS IT!!! Oh my gosh, it is so perfect. I made it exactly as the recipe is written and it turned out awesome. You have to try it!!!!

Chicken Teriyaki - It's a Secret

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2009
OH MY...this is the yummiest stuff EVER! We also grilled some halibut using this sauce and it was to die for. Not exactly teriyaki - it's not sweet like teriyaki but is a very good sauce - we'll be trying it on everything.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2009
I have never made this recipe as it is written but after making the following changes it was PERFECT!!! Like others I baked the bottom pie crust, brushed with egg white prior to adding the chicken mixture and used chicken broth instead of water to boil the chicken and veggies. To simplify things and reduce prep time I used 2 cups frozen mixed veggies in place of the chopped carrots & green peas. I also added garlic and used curry instead of the celery seed which I believe made all the difference in the world for this recipe! This is is now by far my husband's favorite dish...and he never use to like pot pie!
