About this Cook
I am married and have two boys, ages 3 and ten months. I have two dogs, a bernese mountain dog and a basset hound. I am a registered nurse and work at Sanford hospital in Sioux Falls.
My favorite things to cook
I love anything that can be grilled or made into a casserole!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love to make spooky halloween treats and carve pumpkins with my kids. The dogs like it to, mainly because they will get anything that lands on the floor. I also like to make fudge at Christmas time.
My cooking triumphs
I don't really have a triumph yet, I haven't been cooking that long!
My cooking tragedies
The first time I tried to make enchilada sauce. It really would not have been that bad, except for the fact that I ran out of chili powder and used cayenne pepper instead. I didn't realize that cayenne pepper was so hot until I tasted the sauce. I felt like flames were shooting out of my mouth, the rest of the family felt the same way.

Spooky Halloween Eyeballs
Very delicious, fun, and easy to make. Kids and co-workers had a blast with them. Thinking about making ornaments for Christmas! Will make again!

Easy Sugar Cookies
I followed the recipe exactly and these cookies turned out fantastic! So easy! Make sure all the ingredients are mixed completely. The final dough does seem a little dry but the cookies turn out fabulous. This is my new recipe to use from now on!
