My name is Paul and I own a retail bakery in central New Jersey. I have been professionally baking for 15 years. When I am home from work, I love to cook and use the grill

I love to grill anything especially BBQ ribs, make meatballs and meatloaf, chicken recipes, etc
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mother cooked for years when I was brought up. She made traditional American cuisine. I remember my grandparents cooking with recipes from Italy.
My cooking triumphs
I have many triumphs professionally baking but I would really love to leans more on cooking
My cooking tragedies
My wife loves lamb and she asked me to make it one day. I bought this beautiful lamb roast but wasn't sure how to cook it. I called my mother in law and she said to broil it 5 inches from the top of the oven. I had never broiled anything but followed her instructions to a T. About 10 minutes after I put the lamb in the oven, I saw foggy smoke inside my condo. I opened the oven door and there was my lamb- on fire! I grabbed a fire extinguisher and my wife and I ended up eating sandwiches for dinner that night. To this day I blame my mother in law, haha

Marilyn's Green Beans Italiano
Very good recipe. I used Parmigiana and Romano cheese with Pre-seasoned Italian bread crumbs. The flavor was great but it was very salty. The next time I make it I will omit the salt alltogether

Famous Pork Chops
It is an ok recipe. I followed it to a T. I was thinking that the pork chops would have a dryer, crisper crust after being baked but they were soggy. With a whole stick of butter put on the chops, it made them very greasy as well. But the taste was good.

Meatloaf with Fried Onions and Ranch Seasoning
Its a good meatloaf recipe, but it still tasted like meatloaf. I didn't taste anything different or extrodinary
