Date Nut Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2014
Super easy and delicious. I only had to bake it for ~ 35 min. And cover it with foil if it starts to get too brown.

Apple Pie Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2014
Mine didn't turn out well. I would recommend not filling them to the top of the muffin tin, as the recipe says - they ran over and didn't raise well, so they were difficult to get out of the muffin tins. They tasted good, but I have better recipes to use for this type of muffin.

Great recipe. I baked it in large muffin tins (6/tray) at 375 degrees for 20 min and they came out great.

One Bowl Brownies

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2014
This is a great recipe - I used to make these years ago from an old Pillsbury cookbook and I'm so glad I found it again. I like to make them thicker, so I bake them in a 9 in square pan.

Navy Bean Soup I

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2014
This is definitely a keeper. I always soaked the beans overnight, so I was curious to see how the beans would come out. They were perfect - better than when I soak them, because they weren't as mushy. I didn't have the diced tomatoes, so I used 8 oz tomato sauce and 4-6 oz of water and turned out just fine. I also used the Easter ham bone along with the chopped up ham.

Creamy Green Bean and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2014
My husband liked it more than I did. It just didn't have enough flavor for my preference. I also didn't use the soda because even though it makes the green beans more colorful, it makes them too mushy.

Great recipe. I don't have a bread machine, so I just made it the regular way, following the recipe exactly. They turned out delicious. Next time I'll add some citron and a little more cinnamon.

super fast and delicious. Made it for guests. I cut the breasts in half to make them thinner instead of pounding them. Turned out great. Definitely will make again.

Emma's Belgian Waffles

Reviewed: May 14, 2013
I've been trying waffle recipes since I bought my waffle maker and these are the best by far. I think the vanilla really adds to the flavor. They don't get too hard which I like (prefer a softer waffle to the crispy kind). Now I'll see how well they freeze. Thanks for the recipe!

Cabbage Rolls II

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2013
Not enough sauce. Followed the directions for the slow cooker and the cabbage was so overcooked that we could hardly taste it. They might be better baked in the oven for a shorter time.
