About this Cook
Mom of 3-6 kids at any given moment. I own a family child care business... My husband is in the Air Force, so we get to "see the world" at least from the inside of the base fences :o).
My favorite things to cook
CAKES! From family favorites to Swiss or Italian buttercream, to Fondant, with or without filling... CAKES!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving with the usual, Christmas cookies, anytime Toll House cookies with my daughter, puppy chow (not quite sure that's cooking :o) and gingerbread houses with all of the kids!
My cooking triumphs
My spongebob cake! Picture to come
My cooking tragedies
I am the only person I know who can make a full sheet Spongebob cake covered in fondant, but ruins EVERY pot roast within a mile radius. Seriously, keep me away from your roast (especially in the slow cooker), or there will be bad consequences...

Brooke's Best Bombshell Brownies
I'm eating this brownie right now! Yum! I made them exactly like the recipe states the second time (the first time I forgot to mix in the chocolate chips so I sprinkled them on top), and the recipe is PERFECT as is! Thanks for sharing! I won't be sharing mine!

Italian Bread Bowls
These bread bowls were "souper!" I followed the recipe fairly close. I added a TBSP of sugar, and didn't do the egg white and cornmeal. Instead I brushed the tops with butter. It made them super crisp, and strong, which I was worried that the egg whites might not do. Also, I took other's advice and only made 6 instead of 8 bowls. I think anything smaller would have been just a tease :o). In fact, next time, I'll only make 2 or 4. We like big servings! The perfect bread bowl for a hearty helping of potato soup. Pictures to come.

Biscotti Toscani
I used this recipe to make biscotti as a favor for a party. I've been asked to make more by several in attendance. It's my husband and my new favorite!
