Strawberry Cream Roll

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2011
Very nice. Just the recipe I was looking for. I didn't have gelatin when I made this recipe, so I just omitted it. Turned out fine.

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2010
Thanks for the recipe! I'd heard many times that old bananas make softer, tastier banana bread, and it's good to see it's true. I added walnut pieces in the mix too, and a little bit of sour cream (since it's an ingredient in other banana breads and people say it's good). Will definitely make this one again.

Chicken Fried Chicken

This is totally what you'd get at a restaurant. It was a lot easier to make than I thought even - I made it while tired and hungry, and didn't put much effort into it honestly, but it turned out great still. I'll definitely make this one again.

Shrimp Scampi with Linguini

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2009
I used this recipe simply as a base for when I made it. The shrimps should be pulled straight out of the freezer, and fried right in butter and olive oil (put the oil in first then add the butter so the butter doesn't burn) until the shrimps are pink (you don't need to boil them at all, and this way they'll taste and look better anyway). Then instead of linguini use angel hair pasta and it'll go a lot better with the shrimp. Just make sure you remove the shrimp shells. I forgot to do this and my date had to pick them off individually before she ate them :)

Three-Step Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2009
This recipe was great. It's really the best salad you can make. The only thing I'd change is the dressing - just use some poppyseed dressing that you'd buy at the grocery store instead of this one. Then add in feta cheese to the salad. I know that's kind of changing the recipe, these'll make this the BOMB salad.

Ali's Amazing Bruschetta

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2009
I thought the ingredients listed here are a great combination. Only use fresh ingredients with this or it won't look or taste like a fancy restaurant bruschetta. The only reason this doesn't get 5 stars is because after making it perfectly, it's lacking flavor. I think if I added something sweet to this it would be perfect, because you can't add much salt or it will taste like a cracker. Perhaps small thin slices of strawberry or another fruit on top would do the trick..

Valentino's Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2009
great and simple pizza dough recipe. it doesn't get any simpler than this, but it tastes great. make it for any kind of pizza - but i'd recommend adding some garlic, onion, or parsley (or any herb really) and that'll make it taste like what u'd get at a home-style pizza place.

Raspberry Hearts

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2008
definitely good, but not sweet enough. i also took out the hard-boiled eggs - im sure this'd be tough to mix with any more dry ingredients - and instead added one regular full egg. i also didnt base the outside with egg. the dough comes out nice and soft, and tastes good - just i'd recommend adding some white sugar to it, maybe in place of some of the flour or just in addition, because these need some more flavor to get 5 stars. but they werent too much of a hassle to do.

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies I

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2008
as it says under 5 stars, these were "the Best" cookies i've ever made. i thought, as a beginning cook, that they might not turn out quite as good on the first try, but they were totally amazing. i also substituted half of the butter for crisco and that worked great. take them out after 8 minutes! they'll still be soft, but then when they start to cool they won't get hard even the next day. i highly recommend these to any level cooking enthusiast
