About this Cook
I love to cook and entertain - not so much a baker though. I do a little catering here and there, mostly for fun but I have had a few paying jobs. I like trying new recipes and recreating fun classics!
My favorite things to cook
Appetizers of any sort! I love doing cocktail parties. I also love the big family holiday get togethers. I am never afraid to cook for a full house!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love cooking all the Holiday dinners for my family. I love that we have embraced new dishes over the years and created our own traditions. Like cheese manicotti at Christmas. The red marinara sauce and fresh cooked spinach make it so festive. We serve it along side the honey ham and it is delicious!
My cooking triumphs
Catering the local apartment association's Christmas Dinner every year to rave reviews, winning my first Chili Cookoff ever entered, delicious and innovative cocktails that always disappear!
My cooking tragedies
Ahhhh...the blueberry gravy...don't ask! It wasn't supposed to be blueberry but the blueberry muffin mix and the flower got switched somehow and I didn't catch it until it was too late!

Classic Macaroni Salad
The perfect base to a classic mac salad! I did cut back on the sugar and actually substituted with splenda, used apple cider vinegar instead and added chopped green olives instead of just the pimentos. Delish! Thanks!!

Butternut Squash Soup with a Kick
This was a realy good soup. I did add turnips to the mixture. I'm a low carber and use turnips in just about everything! I also used Lite cocunut milk and added some crushed red pepper. Delish!
