Carrot Souffle

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2014
I prepared this recipe exactly as written. It looked and smelled wonderful. But both my husband and I thought this was not good. We had a serving each and then tossed all the rest.

Uli's Apple Red Cabbage

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2014
I prepared this recipe as written. My husband and I thought this was good the night I made it. Then when I had this reheated with a lunch I decided I really don't care for the sweeter cabbage flavor. Perhaps it is a personal preference to prefer savory or tart cabbage. But neither of us want to have it again.

BBQ Steak

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2014
I think this is a wonderful recipe. The only thing I did different was use fresh Rosemary, Thyme and Oregano since I have all three. I made a high quality Ribeye with this marinade. I didn't have hours to marinade, only about a 1/2 hour. This was VERY good. Both my husband and I loved it.

Spaghetti Squash I

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2014
I made this recipe without any changes. My husband and I both thought it was delicious. It may be my new favorite way to make spaghetti squash. Thank you very much for this recipe.

Home Style Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2014
This is a delicious recipe. As others have stated, there is a bit too much cheese sauce for the amount of pasta. I increase the amount of pasta to remedy that.

Ann's Sister's Meatloaf Recipe

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2013
I made this recipe without the MSG and I didn't have any bacon. I did add about a half cup of chopped onion , fresh parsley and only use one cup of Italian seasoned breadcrumbs. I put this in a Pyrex type casserole dish and had to cook it for an extra half an hour then it said. It was very good!

Green Chile Stew with Pork

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2012
I made 2/3 of the recipe due to the size of pork tenderloin I had. I added three tomatillos and two jalapenos. I used salsa verde type of salsa. I also dredged the meat in a mixture of flour, cumin, salt, pepper and garlic prior to browning it. This was amazing except for the size of stew it was way too hot with two jalapenos. Next time I will make the full recipe and add just one jalapeno. I served it with some fresh cilantro, shredded cheese and chunks of fresh avocado. This is wonderful! My husband and I both loved it! Terrific recipe :)

Sweet Potato Chili

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2012
I made this recipe. The store didn't have any tomatoes with chili seasoning, so I used chili beans that have the seasoning. Not sure if that was a problem, but both my husband and I thought this tasted strange. The sweet potatoes and cinnamon clashed with the traditional chili seasonings in the recipe. I won't make this again.

Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2009
Made this per the recipe, except doubled the sauce and used one cream of mushroom and one golden mushroom soup. My husband and I didn't think the breading on the meat adding anything positive (just ended up as mush). But thought that the sauce was very good. Next time we'll grill the pork and prepare the sauce on the side.

Ham Asparagus Gratin

Reviewed: May 10, 2009
I used this recipe b/c I had some left over honey baked ham from Easter. I used an extra can of soup (had to use cream of celery as the store didn't have cream of asparagus). Also used about double the cheese. I also added some more spices such as garlic and a little red pepper. This isn't something I'd serve company, but it was good and I froze some and it was good reheated for lunch.

Brown Rice, Broccoli, Cheese and Walnut Surprise

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2009
My husband and I thought this tasted a little plain. Generally think it needs more seasoning and maybe more cheese?
