Zucchini Slice

I remembered the first time I've ever had zucchini slice it was amazing and when I found this recipe I couldn't wait to try it out. I made a few changes: 1). I didn't use the recommended size tray, I used my normal tray that I roast veges in and increased the cooking time to 50mins. 2). I replaced the onion for 1 grated carrot because it added more color to the dish. 3). Instead of swiss I used one cup of colby cheese because swiss is too mild. 4) I added one cup of bacon and also added salt and pepper. 5) I added only 1/4 cup of canola oil. Next time I am going to add 1/4 tsp of onion powder to give it an extra bit of savory flavor.

Gingerbread Boys

This is the first time I have ever made ginger bread men. This dough is very easy to make but is rock hard as soon as it comes out of the fridge also, when it becomes soft its simply too fragile!!! You'll need to roll the dough out between two sheets of baking paper to make your life easy. Next time I make this I will add in a little less sugar and a little less bi-carb cause I could slightly taste the bitterness from the bi-carb when they came out of the oven. Other than all this the cookies were wonderful... crispy just the way I like them. Made a heart shaped one for our anniversary, my boyfriend liked it!!!

Sweet Potato Pie I

I have never had sweet potato pie before but this tastes fantastic. My boyfriend loved it and it was a huge hit at work that people asked for the recipe!!! I used two cups of orange sweet potato mash and two tbps of plan flour as suggested by some of the reviewers and it turned out wonderful... I used full cream milk and I didn't have enough nutmeg so I put 1 tbp of Cinnamon instead. I used the Pie Crust IV recipe from this site which was perfect. Thank you for this great recipe

Pie Crust IV

This is the first time that I have ever made a successful pastry and it was so easy to make especially since I didn't need a blender!!! I used ice water as suggested and left in in the fridge for 30mins before rolling out... it was perfect :)

Boscobel Beach Ginger Cake

I'm sorry but this cake is not very nice... I wanted to like it and I followed the instructions. The cake tasted bitter (I don't know if its cause of the ginger which I bought fresh on the day of making this) and had this horrible stinky smell... I used dark brown sugar instead but I'm sorry I don't think the cake is sweet enough as you could probably tell by looking at the flour: sugar ratio.... the only good thing about this cake was the texture and that it was moist... I threw the whole thing out the next morning. I won't make this recipe again... sorry

Red Velvet Cupcakes

I've never had a red velvet before but these are amazing... I made them for a work fundraiser and everyone couldn't stop talking about them... I used the Cream Cheese Frosting II recipe instead cause I love that one... I tried to substitute for low fat and low salt where I could and also didn't put in the red food coloring cause in Australian its got a bad rep for being very bad for you... but besides that I wouldn't change anything about this recipe

Chocolate Pudding Fudge Cake

I followed this recipe to the T' ... this cake is perfect!!!!! everyone at work and home loved it! Its so moist, perfect warm or cold. I made sure my bundt pan was big enough as the mix does rise abit... i'm someone who grew up with home made cake and this did not at all taste like boxed cake mix!!! everyone needs to make this cake !!!

Perfect Turkey

Chocolate Velvet Ice Cream

Cream Cheese Frosting II

this was fantastic!!! i halved everything only cause i didnt need that much... i used this to ice my banana cake and it was wonderful... i gave it to my mum and it reminded her of my grandma's frosting... thanks for sharing this one with us!

Surprise Banana Cake

Cream Cheese Marbled Chocolate Brownie

these were yummy and only lasted two days in our house... i used 44% dark chocolate instead of the 60% and they turned out fine however i found that the 9inch square baking tray is too small for the mixture... the brownie came out thick which was very nice but the bottom part ended up being slightly burnt in the process of cooking... which took about 40mins... all in all... i would definately make these again.
