My Fender Dog
About this Cook
I'm mother of 3, none of them Children, one husband, one dachshund, one cockatiel. I work full time and still cook 3 meals a day. But we'll see how that goes when I go back to school to start working on an associates degree in marketing in 2009. When I'm not working or taking care of my family I'm working on a project, craft, or learning a new hobby.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake. I'm currently working on my bread technique. Though, that has slowed as I just bought a bread machine and don't need to worry as much when I use that. I also love experimenting with sauces. My favorite ethnic food to cook is Thai.
My favorite family cooking traditions
When my family gets together we talk about what we're going to eat for the next meal while we're eating the current one. Whom ever's house we are at always has a new recipe they've perfected and can't wait to try on us. We have at least one huge home cooked meal every visit.
My cooking triumphs
Winning over all my friends, even the ones who only eat at home, to my cooking to the point they never refuse what I offer.
My cooking tragedies
That's between me and my garbage disposal.

Chocolate Crinkles II
So. So. So. So. Good! Like tiny chocolate cakes rolled in deliciousness. And so pretty too! They're not even gone yet and I can't wait to make them again!

Rich Chocolate Frosting
Not my favorite ever frosting, but very good. I will definitely keep this recipe around for future use and I would definitely recommend it to a friend.

Too Much Chocolate Cake
I followed the directions exactly and it was only meh. Yes it is intensely chocolately and that can lead some chocolate lovers to believe they are eating a fabulous cake, but I really think there is room for development here. The flavors are not totally balanced and could be better to make a "to-die-for" dessert that one just can't seem to get enough of.
