About this Cook
I'm a stay-at-home mom of 4 ages 18, 14, 4, and 1. I love to cook but hate to clean. I normally cook for an army only because we tend to have many dinner guests. I also cook a ton for potlucks for my husband's job and bake even more for their bake sale fundraisers.
My favorite things to cook
I like to bake cakes and cookies. My favorite dish to make is my spaghetti, meatballs, and sausage. My husband loves the Pizza Rustica found in one of Giada de Laurentiis' cookbooks. My babies just love chicken.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We don't really have any cooking traditions other than everyone staying out of the kitchen on holidays when my mom is cooking because she tends to burn or cut herself at least once and blames it on "the crowded kitchen". ;)
My cooking triumphs
I made a double-tiered tiramisu cake for my daughter's baptism celebration without the use of a tube pan and never having made sponge cake or tiramisu before that. Everyone LOVED it, and it has been requested for other functions.
My cooking tragedies
I made a recipe from this website once that was absolutely disgusting. We ended up eating leftovers and frozen chicken nuggets. Unfortunately, I couldn't remember the name of the recipe to go back and rate it. :(

Mushroom Cube Steaks
This was pretty good and easy. Followed the recipe exactly, and everyone ate it up. I'll probably make it again.

Texas-Style Baked Beans
Delicious, and I don't even like beans. I did use sausage instead of ground beef and served it at a cookout. The guests LOVED it. I didn't even have any leftovers.

Fish Roll-Ups
My family loved this! I didn't change anything except that I forgot the lemon juice. It tasted like crabcakes to me. It was soooo good! My 18 month old even at it up! Thanks for sharing.
