Creamy Vegan Corn Chowder

This recipe was really great especially considering how low calorie it is. I changed the veggies according to our tastes, left out the celery and added red bell pepper mushrooms and sweet potatoes. The one thing that nobody liked was the amount of black pepper. Next time I will use half or even a quarter the amount and let each person add pepper according to their own tastes. I also added a little potato flakes at the end to thicken it up.

Cheddar Cabbage Casserole

The first couple of bites of this dish are interesting. It tastes very different from anything I have ever made with cabbage. I watched my husband make a funny face after the first bite and then he took a couple more and soon he was going back for seconds. We all ended up loving it except my son who hates cabbage. He gave it a try but it did not change his mind. The left overs were just as delicious the next day. Thanks for a great recipe.

Sweet Honey French Bread

This bread is great and so easy. I make it in the bread maker so the loaves don't look like the ones pictured. This bread can be sliced thick and used for everything from french toast to garlic toast. Thanks!

Authentic Enchiladas Verdes

First let me say these were delicious. However had I used 5 peppers we would not have been able to eat them. I used 1 pepper and that was just the right kick for my family. We all like a little heat and may have been able to tolerate 2 peppers but 5....no way! I followed another review and assembled mine and baked to melt the cheese. They were GREAT!! Thanks.

Creamy Macaroni and Cheese

I have only made mac n cheese once before and it wasn't very good. I decided to try this because it seemed more like a Kraft type than a gourmet mac n cheese. I was right, my family liked it very much and I will use this recipe again. The only thing that suprised me was that after it was complete it was way too thick. During the end when you are just stirring everything together and heating through I had to keep adding milk to thin it. Probably a cup in all. Other things I changed were I cut the recipe in 1/2 and used heavy cream instead of evaporated milk, a pinch of dry mustard per other reviews and that's about it. Thanks for this recipe.

Taco Bake

This was really good. I followed others and added a little frozen corn, a can of black beans (drained and rinsed) and a can of diced tomatoes (undrained). I cooked 8 oz of macaroni but did not use it all I probably only added about 6 oz and that was more than enough for us. Otherwise I followed the directions. Thanks for this great recipe.

Quinoa with Peas and Parmesan

I don't know if I did something wrong but my dish came out like paste. I was suprised by the consistancy, I expected it to be more fluffy. My family still liked the taste and some actually liked the stickiness so I gave 4 stars.

Barley Burger Stew

I loved this recipe. It is one of those recipes that you can make substitutions and it still comes out great. I had no tomato juice so I used I cup of condensed tomato soup and 1 1/2 cups water with a beef boullion cube..no other liquid. I also added garlic, mushrooms, about a 1/4 cup of canned corn and I seasoned with chili powder, cumin, salt, pepper and a couple of squirts of tabasco. Like I said you could probably throw anything in there and it would still be great. Thanks.

Never Enough Green Bean Casserole

Hmmm, well I don't know what went wrong but my dish turned out really thick. If I make this again I would add a little milk. The cream of mushroom flavor was all that I could taste. I have had this dish made by others and I loved it, that is why I gave it 4 stars.

Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo

This recipe was awesome. The only thing I changed was I added a handful of bacon bits (the soft real bacon bits, not the crunchy ones) with the onions and mushrooms. I don't think it changed the taste much though. I made this for a birthday partyu and everyone loved this dish.
