This recipe is so easy and cheap! Very few ingredients! I love that it uses oil instead of butter because I always have oil. It's a great soft bread. I always use all purpose flour and it's great! The bread is ever so slightly chewy, but nice and soft. Good sandwich bread... or anything bread, really. I always let mine cool enough to handle, then put it in a sealed plastic container to keep the crust moist as it cools, then I store it in same container or a ziplock bag or an washed bread bag with a twist tie. So, I don't know how the crust is naturally. I also have to bake mine on the bottom rack. The middle makes the top too brown. Today I used this recipe to make cinnamon swirl bread. I just rolled out the dough after the first rise to put on butter, cinnamon and sugar, then rolled it back up into a loaf and did the second rise. Really easy modification. Made two loaves and gave one to the three college students living above us. They were so excited! It’s delicious!
