Lemon Cooler Cream Cake

Reviewed: May 21, 2009
i used lemon pudding instead of vanilla because i read the instructions wrong but it worked out great. i forgot to add the 2nd gelatin to the frosting and it was great. i will definitly make this again the same way i did this time. i almost ate the whole cake myself! o yeah i used french vanilla cool whip topping instead of the original it gives it a deeper flavor!

Sweet, Sticky and Spicy Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2009
this is good! the kids loved it! i doubled the recipe and added extra brown sugar, i put garlic powder on the chicken as well as the minced garlic in the sauce i halved the hot sauce because i don't like spice and halved the soy sauce because i didn't want it to come out salty (i used regular soy sauce)the ginger makes this recipe pop! i made one batch it was so good i thawed out another pack of meat and made it again within hours! i will be making this again and again!

Baked Beans II

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2009
this is a cool recipe but first i drain the beans and use about a 1/4 pound or less of seasoned ground beef(garlic powder, seasoned salt and pepper maybe some onion powder) instead of bacon also i used bbq sauce instead of the worchestershire sauce and plenty more mustard(the extra mustard gives it a great flavor) and sugar(i love sweet beans)i omitted the red wine vinegar also i put mine in the oven for about 20 min or so. delish!!!! i may try it with the worchestershire sauce sounds good

Surprise Banana Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2009
this is good i used the whole recipe but used two different pans the cake pan was better it was lighter, the loaf pan was denser because the batter was deeper in the pan next time i'll just use two cake pans.

Easy Lemon Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2009
you guys don't laugh at me but i didn't read the recipe right and i put all the ingredients in the cake using a lemon cake mix and the bunt cake fell in; but it was the most fantastic lemony cake i ever had. i made it again and use less than a 1/3 cup of confectioners sugar in it and 2 round pans it didn't fall in but it wasn't fluffy but it was still fantastic. oh yeah i used pudding both times and not gelatin. next time i'll try it with the gelatin. this is a keeper!

Seven-Up™ Pound Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2009
this cake is soooooo gooooood! i followed the recipe i just added 1 more egg, about a half cup more sugar and a little extra vanilla. i definatly will be making this again. i felt the extra egg would make it less dense and it did. it was perfect.

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2009
i'm giving this 5 stars because my kids said it's the best meal they have had in a long time eventhough i made blackeye peas, sweet homemade cornbread, greens, smoked turkey tails homemade mac and cheese and sweet candied yams the day before yesterday and i know they love that stuff. i would give it 4 stars because i knew off the back that 8 ounces would be too much cream cheese so i only used 4oz and i still could taste it but it was good! i did use half and half and heavy cream but not the milk and about a half tsp of flour to ensure thickness because of other reviews complaints of the sauce being too thin. i also used some minced garlic along with the garlic powder and i used dried parsley for the color. i will make this again but with more changes because it's so fattening and you could still see the butter after it cooled down so i'll definatly will cut that in half. my son said did you use butter in it cause i can taste it and i used about a tbls less than the recipe called for. i never bought real parmesan so i used the stuff in the plastic bottle grated parmesan and it worked out well. all in all it is a good recipe and i will be making this again soon.

One Bowl Brownies

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2009
these were good but next time i think i'll try a little coffee in the mix. update: 2/16/09 i used the unsweetened cocoa and oil because i didn't have any chocolate bars, also i used half white sugar and half brown sugar, i used about 3 tablespoons of strong coffee and about 2 teaspoons of vanilla and it came out much better. enjoy!

Sweet and Sour Chicken I

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2009
this was good i couldn't believe i made sweet and sour chicken. the only thing i did different was cut back on the vinegar. the second time i made it i used pancake batter because it was less time consuming but a little sweeter. i actually like the batter the way the recipe states. i will make this again. oh yeah i almost threw out my pineapple juice because i didn't read where it said to save it.

Peanut Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2009
i'm giving this 5 stars because it's the best homemade cake i have made. it's very very moist.the changes i made was i used cake flour instead of all purpose used coffee instead of water and unsweetened cocoa powder instead of unsweetened chocolate because that's what i had on hand. as far as the frosting i halfed the recipe but doubled the peanut butter because i like the strong peanut butter flavor. i will make this recipe again.

Chocolate Trifle

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2009
it was cool i didn't use all the whippped cream in the pudding because it was taking away from the flavor, also i added a little milk to the pudding because it was so thick. i will make this again
