Todd's Famous Blueberry Pancakes

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2010
These were good...my qualms: not sweet enough, they needed more sugar! Also, the recipe says it yields 12, but i barely got 5! If you plan on making these for more than 2 or 3 people, I would double the recipe.

Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2010
These are so delicious and present so nicely! I was excited to find this recipe--the way my family always made them included worcestershire sauce for the tartness, but it always discolors the yolks a little bit. The white vinegar adds that flavor without discoloring! And the sugar adds an extra dimension. After mixing I put the stuffing in a sandwich bag and cut off a corner to pipe into the eggs. Great recipe--will use every time!

Hot Spiced Cranberry Cider

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2009
Excellent. I used an orange instead of a lemon - just my personal preference. It turned out amazing, everyone loved it! Thanks!

McCormick® Gingerbread Men Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2009
These were amazing! The dough was rather hard to work with while adding the flour. It was also tough to roll it out with the rolling pin. However, they turned out really nicely - perfect combination of crunchy yet moist! I made some royal icing: beat together 2 egg whites and 2 tsps lemon juice, then slowly beat in 3 cups of powdered sugar. Yum! Definitely making again next year!

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2009
I've made this recipe twice now. The first time I made it, I made a loaf as well as a dozen muffins. They didn't turn out as well as I'd hoped--you could pretty much taste the vegetable oil (not a great flavor). So this time I made it with 2/3 cup cinnamon apple sauce and 1/3 cup oil. They turned out so much better!! Fluffy, sweet, flavorful. I made all muffins this time, and I put streusel on top too, made of flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and butter. This adds a little extra oomph to the deliciousness of this recipe, in my opinion!! Muffins baked for about 30 minutes.

Blueberry Dump Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2009
I didn't have that many frozen blueberries left, so I also used frozen blackberries and raspberries. Because they were frozen, I had to cook it for about 15 minutes longer. I used a suggestion and added more butter (I used 3/4 cup), but I wish I hadn't! It would have been perfect with 1/2 cup. But otherwise, this turned out great and was really easy. I'll be using this one again for sure.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2009
This was my first pot roast in a slow cooker, and it turned out great! I followed the recipe kind of, but used some suggestions as well. I seasoned the beef with burgundy beef rub, salt, and pepper before browning it on all sides. Put some carrots and onions in the slow cooker, put meat on top, and substituted beef stock for water in the recipe. I cooked it for 8 hours, and it was very tender and flavorful! I didn't master thickening the gravy though. I tried cornstarch but next time I think I will try using flour instead.

Chicken Meatballs and Spaghetti

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2009
I had sauce already prepared, so I only used the meatball portion of this recipe, and it was excellent! I used Ritz crackers instead of bread crumbs, and ground turkey instead of ground chicken. They turned out really well and everyone loved them!

Remarkable Fudge

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2009
I don't know what went wrong. I followed the directions perfectly except i did not have a double boiler so I just used a regular pan. They taste great, but they are more like chocolate icing than fudge. They are really gooey! I mean, REALLY gooey. :(

Macaroni and Tomatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2009
I'm so glad i discovered this! As a poor college kid, I'm always excited to find cheap, yummy recipes, and this is definitely one of those!! So easy. I used extra butter instead of bacon grease, and added some garlic salt and Parmesan cheese. Will definitely make this over and over again!

Shepherd's Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2008
This is the first shepherd's pie recipe I've tried, and it turned out really well! I used instant instead of mashed potatoes, and i used a can of chunky vegetable soup and a can of cheese soup instead of the mushroom & celery soup and mixed vegies. It turned out really well!!
