I am a full time undergrad in Environmental Science, in my early 30's, married to a wonderful man with two adorable Papillons. My friend and I share a blog where we develop recipes and share them with the world. My favorite thing to do is bake, because I can get as creative as I want.

Anything in the Slow Cooker. Cookies, Cake Pops, Bacon & Jalapeno Grilled Cream Cheese Sandwiches, Chocolate Covered Red Velvet Cherry Cookies, Tortilla Soup, Toblerone Chocolate Pecan Pie, Enchiladas, Bacon Wrapped Jalapeno Poppers, Chicken Piccata, Spaghetti & Meatballs, Zucchini Spaghetti, Buffalo Shredded Chicken Sandwiches & many many many more!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Christmas time is when all the cookie sheets come out. My family loves holiday baking and cooking. We traditionally cook our Thanksgiving turkey upside down, there are a few staples and we of course share our new favorite recipes we learned from the past year.
My cooking triumphs
Maintaining a clean kitchen while cooking a huge meal. Learning to make a roux, learning how to reduce, and buying my first stand mixer.
My cooking tragedies
Oh jeez...let's see. Mountain Dew cupcakes - nailed it! Fudged the fudge! Burned roux. Allergic reactions to dough & jalapenos half way through a recipe!

Sweet Corn Cake
I've read the other reviews, hardly ever comment on recipes but I do feel the need on this rare occasion to say that I have been wondering for a long time how to create this favorite Mexican treat. If you follow the recipe exactly - it is very flavorful, moist, delicious and the perfect consistency and just like what I have had in my favorite Mexican restaurants. I could not find Masa Harina, so I used All Purpose Flour and I couldn't even tell the difference! This is an All-Star Recipe!

Cheesy Chicken Poblano Chowder
I didn't have much time to prepare, so I stuck with the main ingredients (minus thickening it with flour), threw it all in the slow cooker and let it cook for 8 hours. The chicken was shredded and the flavor was amazing. I added a little dollop of sour cream and shredded tortilla strips at the end. This is a keeper.

Salmon with Brown Sugar Glaze
This was wonderful! Didn't change a thing. Made some white rice and steamed mixed vegetables with it.
