Rosemary Turkey Meatloaf

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2008
Best meatloaf I've had in awhile. I changed the recipe up a bit like other posters. Substitutions: 1 C bread crumbs, 1/2 C milk, 1/4 C worcestire- all other ingredients the same. I also inverted the loaf pan after forming meat mixture and baked it on a cookie sheet (spray the sheet-I didn't)at 375 for about an hour. I like that the topping covers all sides. DELICIOUS!

Creamy Ranch Pork Chops and Rice

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2009
This came out well. I followed directions except didn't have time to cook rice so used orzo which was a perfect addition. Used thin chops. I'd like to try this with chicken also.

Mouse's Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2009
First time I ever made homemade mac n cheese, I thought this came out very good. It was creamy. There's a ton of sauce but it all does get soaked up by the noodles. I didn't have dried mustard so used a t of dijon mustard. It came out great and reheated well.

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2009
I followed this recipe though made it on the stove top as I didn't have enough time for the slow cooker. I cooked the chicken first then shredded it and added it in. Excellent of blend of flavor and texture! I forgot to add the can of tomato sauce but found I didn't need it. I added about a cup of chicken stock instead of the beer.

Chicken and Bowtie Pasta with Asiago Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2010
I didn't have proscuitto and don't like mushrooms, changed this dish a tad and it was delicious! Used 3/4 of 12oz box of bow ties, sauteed chicken (in 2 T butter) sprinkled with kosher salt, ground mustard, onion powder, black pepper, crushed red pepper, garlic and onions. Accidentally used 1 T cornstarch with 1 T water and it thicked the dish immensely- added 1/4 c cream as directed and it was perfect. Did not find it bland with spices added to chicken. Added pasta and sauce back into the pan with chicken juices and spices. Also used 1 1/2 C light cream instead of heavy cream for sauce. Fed the 2 of us with plenty leftover.

Vanilla Crepes

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2010
Almost just like my grandmothers recipe- though no wheat germ. I never have it so it was nice to find a recipe that didn't need it. Delicious! Made changes that others recommended. served with blueberry filling.

Scalloped Corn and Broccoli

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2010
This dish was okay-nothing exciting. I omitted the sugar- you don't need it, and a whole box of frozen broccoli wasn't too much.

Chicken Milano

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2010
I make a version of this dish all the time- sautee chicken with kosher salt, pepper, minced garlic, ground onion & mustard. Then sautee sundried tomatoes. I use thin chicken breasts so I can 'stuff' a layer of the tomatos along with feta or goat cheese in the middle between the 2 pieces of chicken. I'll serve it with cooked green beans that I quickly toss in the chicken 'sauce' mixture along with a few extra tomatos and cheese to give them a savory flavor. This dish is divine!

Excellent without any changes to the recipe though I did have to double the recipe for that long baguette! So quick and easy to throw together. Everyone raved about them!

Definitely need pumpkin liquor. I didn't have any so just added pumpkin spice along with other spices. Just tasted like a chocolate martini with cinnamon.

Love love love this cake! got rave reviews! Very moist. Made it in a bundt pan-cooked 55 min. Topped it with a glaze from another recipe-butter, brown sugar, milk, and vanilla. It was fabulous!

Creamy PHILLY Pesto Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2011
Delicious! Perfect amount of sauce for 2 chicken breasts. Used white wine instead of broth. Sprinkled kosher salt and pepper, garlic before cooking chicken. Would be good tossed with some pasta as well but would double the sauce.

Baked Potato Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2011
My husband and I demolished this! Very tasty- made recipe as is with less basil as recommended by others. I also mashed about 3/4 of the potato mixture as I don't like chunks of potatos in soup. I was kind of confused about how to cook the potatos so boiled them 15 min before adding the half and half.

Fettuccine with Sweet Pepper-Cayenne Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2011
This was tasty- a bit spicy with 1/2 t cayenne I will try a little less next time. Needs some onions as well and liked the sour cream consistency though you could probably use some light cream for same result. Chicken could be added too- this made plenty of sauce which was good.
