Sweet Hot Mustard Chicken Thighs

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2014
I did my usual seat-of-the pants version, tossing the marinade ingredients right into the bag. No brown sugar so I used white sugar plus a teaspoon of Chinese dark soy sauce to get that molasses taste into the marinade. I mulched all the ingredients in the bag until the sugar dissolved and put the chicken into the bag. I refrigerated it overnight and all the next day and made it last night. Wow, a lot of taste for such simple ingredients. I baked mine for 1 hour at 375 degrees without onion rings and got mahogany-brown chicken pieces that were spicy, sweet, juicy, and tender. I might reduce oven temp to 350 next time. It gave off a lot of fat.

Rose Hip Freezer Jam

It has a bright orangey-red color and a delicious fruity taste that you can't quite put your finger it apricot? No, it's unique. Very tasty and something you can't just go out and buy.

Cold-Brewed Coffee

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2013
I had this over ice. It's the only coffee I've ever had that actually tastes as delicious as ground coffee smells.

Boiled Water

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2013
I changed the recipe to 1 1/2 cups and left it on low heat because I hate that "boiled" taste. I know I shouldn't review a recipe if I changed it, but I never make a recipe the same way twice.

Hi, this sounds great. How much peanut butter does the recipe need?

Blueberry Pie Pops

These are delicious and adorable! Had them at work, and they just flew out of the coffee room. Anyone who was 2 seconds late missed out. You can make them in any pie flavor.

Pad Kee Mao

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2009
Very yummy, just a little on the too-spicy side for me (I should have either seeded my pepper or used a half). If you can't find the thick soy sauce, consider mixing 2 tsp of molasses with 1 tsp of reg. soy sauce. I used a thin-cut pork loin chop. It was really delicious, and next time I'll try with tofu for a veggie version. Thanks for the fun recipe! The spiciness was cut down by the ice cold beer I had with the dish.
