Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2011
Makes a very tasty and dense banana bread. I normally make it with at least half whole wheat flour. On the occasion I want it as an extra sweet treat, I add some mini chocolate chips.

Fettuccine with Sweet Pepper-Cayenne Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2011
Pretty tasty but it is missing something. Maybe adding chicken or some ground italian sausage would add some flavor.

Oh my goodness this turned out so delicious! I love pumpkin pie but this one has a particularly addicting flavor. Rave reviews from everyone who tried it!

Favorite Old Fashioned Gingerbread

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2011
Great recipe but I do need to double (at least) all the spices as others have noted. Mine always comes out perfectly moist! Yum!

Pancakes I

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2011
Good basic pancake recipe. Turns out just fine with half whole wheat/half all purpose flour. I usually add mashed bananas and on special occasions, choc chips.

Beef Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2011
Tasty! I might use a different kind of beef next time or even just leave it out all together. Fine as is but can certainly add lots more veggies to your liking.

Zucchini Alfredo

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2010
I really enjoyed the flavor of this and it was so easy! I think it needs a fair amount of parmesan and the fresh basil is a must. You can easily add other veggies, chicken, bacon etc.

Neiman Marcus Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2010
This is my "always in the house" chocolate chip cookies. The only change I make is that I use at least 2x the amount of coffee and I prefer mini choc chips. Yummy!

Guinness® and Chocolate Cheesecake

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2010
Okay so the flavor of this is wooonderful! The Guinness is subtle but is no doubt what gives that little something something. I had to cook for at least 20 mins longer than recipe called for and maybe could have used a little bit more. It does firm up in the fridge...overnight would be ideal. I agree with others recommendation to just cook over a pan of water instead of putting it in it. Will be making this again and again!

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2009
This recipe is very tasty and gets 5 stars for how quick and easy it is. I have made it for fish lovers and those that aren't (like me and everyone else in my house) and it always goes over big. So yummy!

Slow Cooker Italian Beef for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2009
Wow, I can't believe how great this turned out! The same Chicago Italian Beef taste my husband and I crave. Shredded is better than sliced but only because I can't seem to slice it thin enough. I wish I had a deli slicer!

Rempel Family Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2009
Tasty! Much less salty (and better) if you don't use most of the powder from the soup mix. I also use whatever whole grain crackers I have on hand...cheese, plain wheat whatever. My husband and 5 year old are never thrilled with meatloaf and this one is no exception. I slip it in every now and again though because I like it.

Very tasty pumpkin bread. I cut down on the sugar and add more ginger but other than that no changes needed!

Amish Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2009
Yum! I have made this twice and both times we have really enjoyed it. My husband who is not a cheese fan even loved it. I love that it requires no canned condensed soups. You can adjust the cheeses as you wish. The 2nd time I prepared it all the night before and pulled it out of the fridge while I was preheating the oven the next morning. Made it even easier on a busy morning (I made for Christmas)and noticed no difference in the taste. Will definately make again. Great for company.

Slow Cooker Turkey Breast

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2009
While I love the idea of this, it just didn't turn out like I had hoped. I didn't care for the flavor the soup mix gave it and I felt like the cooked turkey had a very strange texture.

Fiesta Beef Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2009
5 stars because it was a very fast, easy and quite tasty meal. Easily adjust to make more spicy by throwing in some extra jalapenos and no problem using frozen corn instead of canned. We topped with crushed blue chips and sharp cheddar cheese. My son who insisits he does not not like soup just loved it.
